So? Reminds me of the famous comment by the Manhattanite socialite after Nixon’s victory in 1972. “I can’t believe he won, nobody I know voted for him.”
Guess we’ll find out in 2016 right? 😉

You said about Romney:

And you said about the pro-life organizations that have worked for decades to end legal abortion:

So manifestly for you it really is a matter of the pro-life groups being either stupid/gullible or frauds. They’ve devoted their energies and efforts to reform our abortion laws. They enthusiastically supported Romney for president. But they just don’t get it - but you do, by golly. Or, they really do get it and they are frauds - because even if the GOP nominated an avowed pro-choicer they would still support the GOP, right? Is that about it? So you see, its not about straw men arguments at all. I am merely reminding you what you said and using your own logic. If you find that disturbing then I guess you should.

Furthermore, if Romney is the equivalent of Nancy Pelosi (“abortion is a sacred right”) then what does that make Paul Ryan? Or Robert Bork? To me it would mean that they are either stupid/ignorant (as they just aren’t smart enough to see the real Romney that RGCheek does). Or they really see Romney for what he is and don’t care. They are frauds.

Stupid or frauds. Those are the choices based on your logic, RGCheek. Paul Ryan is a smart man. Is he a true pro-lifer? I will not question his motives as you do. Ditto for Robert Bork - a brilliant man and pro-lifer/constructionist. Who am I to suggest that Robert Bork was a fraud? I think we should all be careful to not engage in calumny, don’t you, RGCheeK?

Regarding Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin leading a new 3rd party allied with the Tea Partiers to give the true believers a party and perfect candidate they can finally support: recall that Huckabee and Sarah Palin both supported Romney for president. So you might have to go back and find a different set of leaders.

I think the Tea Party comments were a red herring. He voted Green Party last time. What Green Party supporters do you know who are Tea Party supporters?

It’s a simple inability to understand the mathematics of voting. And, yes, such inability is priceless.
So why don’t you essplain it to everyone and stop simply leaving it as an unwarranted assertion?

😃
I have more respect for those who voted for a purely Catholic candidate than another imperfect choice. Green Party? Seriously? What a waste…
It was a PROTEST vote and I wanted to PROTEST.

That is why it is MY vote I cast, and not YOUR vote.

I am not a Green Party supporter.

IT WAS A PROTEST VOTE, lol.

What part of ‘PROTEST VOTE’ do you not understand?

Uh huh… Yet, you voted Green Party…thus supporting them. What part of “supporting” do you not understand? Do you need me to post the definition?

You saying it is impossible to find a Republican that is pro-life, pro-gun rights, in favor of smaller government and is also in favor of strong security because they dont exist?

Then you say that they cant win anyway?

Such candidates are the ONLY candidates that have won for the Republicans historically since 1973.
No, its impossible to find a Republican that lives up to the unrealistic standards of the true believers. They will always find something wrong with who the GOP nominates because ultimately, they hate the GOP. Their hatred is such that they will distort or otherwise spread falsities about the candidates they refused to vote for.

 “…purchase of the GOP nomination…” That’s what all the losers say, when someone else defeats them in the primaries.
cnsnews.com/news/article/gingrich-sure-romney-won-he-outspent-opponents-7-1
The Associated Press reported that Romney and his allies outspent Santorum and his backers by $3.5 million to $500,000, an advantage of 7-1.
thenation.com/blog/167544/did-romney-buy-gop-nomination#
When you combine Romney’s campaign spending with that of his Super PAC Restore Our Future, he heavily outspent other Republicans and their Super PACs on advertising. According to data compiled by a rival campaign, through April 3, when the last competitive primaries were held, Romney had outspent his two main opponents by a factor of more than four to one. Romney and Romney Affiliated PACs spent $53.54 million against $11.99 million spent by Gingrich and Gingrich Affiliated PACs and $9.53 million from Santorum and Santorum Affiliated PACs…
But there is general agreement as well that spending can matter at the margins. There were key states where Romney’s spending coincided with a reversal in polling trends. In Iowa and Florida, Romney trailed Gingrich and pulled out a victory after dropping a money bomb of negative ads targeted at him. In Ohio and Michigan, Romney looked vulnerable to Santorum and eked out wins after vastly outspending him. “Does infrastructure matter in presidential primary politics? Yes, if you’re within a few yards of the goal line,” says Patrick Ruffini, another Republican strategist. “If you’re behind the 20, probably not. [In Romney’s case] it made a marginal difference.”
In other words, it is entirely possible that had Romney not had a spending advantage, he would have narrowly lost some states he narrowly won. It’s worth noting that Romney also gained his fundraising advantage through far greater reliance on a smaller network of large donors. As Frank Rich recently wrote in New York, “The Center for Responsive Politics has calculated that just ***10 percent of Romney’s donors ***for 2012 have been from among the [sic] hoi polloi (those contributing $200 or less)—compared with 52 percent for Santorum, 48 percent for Gingrich, and 45 percent for Obama.” So it’s not accurate to say that Romney’s fundraising advantage perfectly reflects popular sentiment.
Romney BOUGHT the GOP nomination so that Wall Street bankers and international corporations wouldn’t risk losing the heavy investment that they made in Obama in 2012.

Romney was groomed to lose to Obama as he had an almost unique inability to attack Obama for his most unpopular traits and polices as Romney was even WORSE.

A “protest vote” means one less vote for the major party you are, supposedly, closer too. By subtracting one vote from the Republican candidate, you created a one vote difference in favor of the Democrat candidate. Simple math. Enough “protest votes” or non-votes equal a victory for the other side…which is what happened.

Got it. You preferred Obama over Romney. Understood.

Hey - next time vote for the GOP nominee as a protest against the Democrat nominee. Think of it like that!

Do you always put words in peoples mouths? Where did I say I hate the GOP? Where did I say anything of the sort?

I gave a very specific list of issues I wont compromise on, and picking a candidate that agreed on those issues used to be quite easy for the GOP, but not any more.

And if the GOP doesn’t wise up and return to supporting social conservative issues, they will face a new party that will go after Values Voters like UKIP is doing in the UK.

Where do the Rothchilds and the Bilderburgers fit into all of this? And the Zionists? I think you may be leaving them out of the picture.

Here is a conspiracy, and you can tell me what you think: the pro-Obama forces made up lies about Romney so that otherwise good Catholics and conservatives would stay at home or vote 3rd party - thus ensuring an Obama re-election.

OK, you don’t get the protest vote idea.

I protested the CHOICE I was given in the election to vote either for a crook like Romney or a leftwing fascist like Obama.

I decided I would vote for a loser party as a sign of protest of such a false choice.

Well, I don’t get a conservative (if that’s what you are) voting Green as a protest. Why not vote for Howard Phillips or Bo Gritz of the Populist party? I heard they like conspiracy theories.

Seriously, all joking aside - why not protest by voting for the conservative 3rd party instead of Green?

So now you retreat to mockery?

Only 10% of Romneys donations were of $200 or less. While for Obama, Gingrich, and Santorum the percentage for the $200 donations and less was around half their donations or more.

thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/10/09/wall-street-showers-romney-campaign-with-donations-abandons-obama.html
In 2008 employees of the leading investment bank donated a little more than $1 million to Obama. That was more than four times the sum they gave to John McCain, and it made Goldman, in effect, the second-largest donor to the Obama campaign. But so far in the 2012 cycle, theJournal reports, Goldman employees have chipped in a paltry $136,000 to the incumbent, and have donated nearly $900,000 to the Romney campaign.
Another notable exception is JPMorgan Chase & Co. Employees of the megabank contributed $808,799 to the Obama campaign. So far this cycle, however, they’ve donated $663,219 to the Romney campaign. CEO Jamie Dimon may have once been tight with President Obama. But his employees are much tighter with Romney now. Among corporations, only the employees of Goldman Sachs and Bank of America have given more to Romney, according to data from the Center for Responsive Politics.
The Daily Beast looked at some of the biggest players back in August, and in all it amounts to a major trend.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics, through October 1 the securities and investment industry overall gave about $4 million to the president in this cycle. (By contrast, in 2008 the industry gave Obama $15.8 million.) Through October 1, the same industry has given more than $16 million to Mitt Romney’s campaign.

The best strategy is to influence the GOP - keep it socially conservative (which it is). The UK has a different system than our - with lots of splinter parties that join coalitions to form governments.

:sigh:

Who the protest is for isn’t the point. It is to simply cast a vote for whomever you think will be the biggest vote getter other than to two false choices. I thought it would be the Greens in VA but I think it was actually the Libertarians.

Uh huh… Yet, you voted Green Party…thus supporting them. What part of “supporting” do you not understand? Do you need me to post the definition?
One protest vote for the Greens does make me a supporting member of the Greens, kind sir.
