Aren’t the terrorists planning to strike while the motorcade is on the WAY to the airport?

I wish I had taped the episode. I’d like to take another look at the map the terrorists were holding to see if it says where the strike is likely to be. I know that the motorcade route was along CA-118 and I-5. Now that I think of it, I don’t even know what airport they were headed for.

Hubby and I were wondering about that. Is Curtis really threatening Lynn or did they just fudge the previews to make us think so?

so it could be Mike…

There was one episode where Jack lands at a military airport just outside of LA and has to drive to CTU. And I’m thinking, ‘My house is halfway between that airport and the closest part of LA county and it’d take them 20-25 minutes to get to here!’

But Jack made it to CTU in 15 minutes.

The “Sunrise Mall” was made up. Based on what I saw they used the Northridge Fashion Center for that one.

Well I know the name of the mall was made up and I could also tell that the parking lot they pulled into had nothing to do with the location shoot they used for the inside mall shots…that’s typical.

My point was the serious brown smog was a clear indication where ever they were shooting was inland tucked inside a mountain range, certainly not along the coast. It could have also been close to Ontario near Mt. Baldy, but the palm trees indicated ‘valley’ or ‘burbank/pasadena’ area it seemed to me. You picked up on some Northridge Fashion Center landmarks? Cool.

I’m good at tagging Santa Monica Pier, Pico Mall, Santa Monica Mall, Santa Monica High School, the area around the baseball stadium, and the mexican tienda strips along Pico Boulevard myself…and many of the West L.A. restaurants.

What I also get a kick out of is how quickly data and images are uploaded and downloaded from these small hand devices/phones interfacing with the huge CTU mainframes…and that there always seem to be clear uninterrupted signals for such things even when he’s in the basement of a parking structure or above the ceilings of that airport… why can’t we get that kind of service?

Hey Yin YangMom!!! Where have you been? I was just thinking that I haven’t seen you posting in awhile!!

I was laughing about the quick uploading/downloading last night, too. Usually it’s done under highly stressful circumstances, where most people would make mistakes. Not our CTU friends!!! I thought it was unbelievable that Lynn just couldn’t seem to catch Audrey communicating with Jack right under his nose. How in the world did he get that job?

Does anyone think that maybe Audrey is somehow involved?? Maybe she went “bad” after Jack “hurt” her so badly??

If I had to choose between Mike and Lynn—I’d choose Mike as the bad guy.

Hi Giannawannabe,

I’ve actually been busy with work and church and school activities so I haven’t had much time to invest in posting here. I pop in from time to time to read but am staying out of the meaty threads for now because I can’t afford to get caught up in debates.

What’s really suspicious about the Lynn/sister/boyfriend thing is the boyfriend part. It seemed obvious that the boyfriend is connected to the terrorists and his assignment was to use the girlfriend to get Lynn’s wallet. I believe Lynn’s innocent there, though it means stretching the imagination a bit to deduce Lynn is soooo insecure about his job/status that he wouldn’t have reported the card stolen so that the codes on them could be deactivated…I mean it’s a matter of national security at a time when the nation is under a serious threat.

Then again, he **is **the one who pushed to have the canister released at the mall - killing several hundred innocents when there was never any guarantee the people wouldn’t have killed Jack at the mall. I never understood Lynn and Buchanan’s insistence the terrorists would take Jack to the other canisters…made no sense. They were testing the codes, when it works they no longer need Jack…so I don’t know, maybe he isn’t so innocent…

I also don’t buy his losing it like this…I mean on one hand he’s acting all paranoid, and yet, everyone really is working behind his back and around his authority…but it seems he’s more upset about not being in control of the underlings than of not handling the investigation as well as he could.

Then again…if his sister is a druggie…who knows how stable Lynn is…there could be mental illness in the family…

what’s your impression of the president here?

Our family’s split…some of us feel he’s making the right decisions for the right reasons, others think he’s a weak leader covering his behind to protect his image more than the nation. We all agree the actor portraying the president is doing a great job.

If you notice, Pres. Logan RARELY makes a decision on his own. He almost ALWAYS asks someone elses opinion. Personally, I think they need to resurrect Palmer ( I am not so sure he is REALLY dead). You are right , though, the actor is doing a great "Nixonesque " job
