"24" Fans, time to re-unite! :)

I thought that a lot about this week’s episode was almost predictable. The Audrey thing was kind of a no-brainer. Same with Aaron going out to rescue Palmer. Jack going into the fire? Ok, maybe not. But you have to keep the plotline moving along somehow, no? I mean we have how many weeks/hours left? (Don’t they get tired? I didn’t even notice whether it was daylight or nighttime at the gas plant). I’m kind of disappointed at the preview. I mean, they obviously can’t tell you what happenned to Jack. But we expect him to come out alive. Or at least never to be found until he comes out of hiding again. Palmer, OTOH, should have been next week’s bigger question mark.

Anyways, Edgars replacement is nothing but trouble for Bill Buchanan. But there really are some women out in the world like that too. :whacky:

Loved the look on Cloe’s face when the replacement for Edgar (Sherri?) came up with that remark after the fuss about harrassment with the former supv.! Cloe has really great expressions for everything!

I don’t think anyone could have better facial expressions than Chloe!

What would we do without Chloe to offer a bit of comic relief? And she does it without being goofy too. She had totally bought into Shari’s story about the sexual harassment. (It was spelled “Shari” in the closed captioning.) But then when Buchanan touched Shari’s shoulder and she started complaining Chloe was just exasperated.

Alright…so who’s the “upper level” government official involved in all of this?

Does anyone else think the Vice President is just way too obvious of a solution? We’ve hardly had chance to really get to know him anyway. I might be wrong, but I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that it’s not Vice President Hal Gardner…it’s Chief of Staff Mike Novick. :bigyikes:

No, I’m serious. Just think: How crazy of a plot twist would that be? He was supportive of the President’s decision to turn over the Suvarovs motorcade to the terrorists. And he did try to use Martha to convince the President not to implement the VP’s martial-law strategies. Heck, maybe he killed Walt Cummings (or helped Walt kill himself) to prevent the investigation from uncovering anything. Of course these aren’t conclusive…but the possibility is still there. And after all, this is 24. Can anyone seriously think of a good reason why this couldn’t be true? :whacky:

I think it is very plausible. Plus, when Aaron tries to help Palmer reveal whatever it is he knows, I bet Mike will tell the President about the hand holding thing between Martha and Aaron to try and undermine them.

So how long will Jack go unfound? I don’t think we’ll see anything of him until at least the end of the next episode, maybe longer.

The other curious thing about the preview is that Homeland Security will be taking over CTU, afterall. Which begs the question, “Why?”

I’m not reading these posts!! I am watching season 1 on DVD. I can’t wait to see them. The first night I intended to watch a couple of episodes, but couldn’t stop. I watched from (on the show) from 12 until 8 am. Fortunately, the commercials are edited out. But I didn’t get to bed until 3 am. I watched from 8 to 11 last night. My more prudent dh pulled me away and sent me to bed.

This is a great series. Are the other seasons just as good as the first?

OMG. Keep watching. I just finished Season 1 on DVD about a month ago…and I won’t say anything, but if you’ve already seen it you’ll know what I’m talking about. All I can say is this: Buckle up. You have absolutely no idea what’s really going on until the very end. It’s absolutely insane. (To be honest, I’m still recovering from the shock.) But it’s good. Have fun.

I’ve only seen Season 1, most of Season 4, and so far all of Season 5…but yes. It definitely is. And hopefully I’ll be able to get myself caught up on Seasons 2 and 3 relatively soon.

Ow Wow!

My husband and I started watching in season 4 so we had to catch up on seasons 1-3! Netflix and Blockbuster got LOTS of business from us for a few weeks.

We planned to watch just a couple episodes a night until we got caught up but we could never stop at two. There were times that we’d have rented one of the DVDs and finished it around 9:00pm and we just had to run up to Blockbuster to get the next one. We couldn’t wait until the next day!

When we returned from overseas, it was just before season 2 started I think…maybe even season 3? We got back in summer of 2003…anyway, we did the “allnighter” thing, and I had a newborn…nuts. Our local video store (mom and pop shop) rented the entire season instead of renting just disc by disc like blockbuster…when we went to rent at blockbuster b/c we happened to be there, we were PEEVED to see how they were getting 5 rentals out of you instead of just one!

Sorry, I just found this thread and skipped to the bottom without reading all the posts so somebody might have already said this but it just cracks me up every time they introduce a new character… I keep saying, “hey, that’s Samwise Gamgee or that’s the wife from the Village” and the latest that is blowing my mind… “hey - that’s Jesus from the Gospel of John!!!”
