The people who had these embryos deserve consideration for the loss they feel. Not judgment for sin.
Agreed. The judgment is not against them, as only God can judge the movements of the human heart. The morality of the act itself however, we are called to discern.

Your accusations that I am disingenuous and insensitive towards infertility or disabilities is presumptuous and uncharitable, as is your implication that I lack an understanding of the emotional burden of infertility and hardship in trying to bring a child into this world or of dealing with a disability. I have indeed experienced the pain of these both.

Telling someone that they don’t understand with the “walk in my shoes” metaphor without knowing what burdens they bear in their own lives is rather assuming and naive.

Clarifying that beforehand without a responding metaphor would’ve prevented that. The response seemed trite.

And I don’t think disabilities and infertility are the same thing or are remotely comparable. Both are difficult for vastly different reasons.

I apologize for the lack of clarity. I thought that your use of the metaphor would mean you would understand my responding metaphor.

I don’t think they are the same thing, as they are indeed difficult for vastly different reasons, but it is that difficulty that they share in common, along with dealing with death, sufferings in life, etc… These difficulties are all crosses we bear.

Fair enough. I also extend my apologies.

I’m still a bit sensitive about this and I’ll own that. And I pray about it a lot. 💕💕 I’m almost at the point where the clock has run out, and I’m clearly struggling with it.

I am so sorry that you have such an emotionally hard burden to struggle with. I pray that the Holy Spirit brings you consolation and courage.
