But liberals really do want crazy people walking the streets. They don’t necessarily want them killing people, but it is an inevitable consequence.
And the NRA really does want more people to buy guns. They don’t necessarily want crazy people to use them to kill people, but it is an inevitable consequence.

Not just liberals. In the red state I lived in previously, and the blue state I’m in now, both conservatives and liberals voted to close asylums and mental hospitals. In both states, mental health is largely relegated to outpatient clinics. They either live with their overwhelmed and stressed relatives, or live on the streets now.

Conservatives did this to cut spending. Liberals supported it because having them out on the streets doesn’t infinge on their self-autonomy.

Yet another reason I find our binary political system asinine.

The USA already has a whole lot of guns. I am not sure that I see how it will make America safer by having more guns bought. The American high schools and colleges are not safe and if more teenagers are buying guns and watching video games on how to shoot and kill a lot of people, it might result in more innocent people being shot dead. This is not good. Americans should try to solve this problem in the USA instead of invading other countries and waging war abroad.

Anyone who indiscriminately kills people is crazy.

Doing so while naked, wearing no pants and only a jacket emphasises this point.

Rain doesn’t remove scent for a tracking dog, it can help accentuate it. Hopefully it rains, he runs around the woods, gets tracked and caught.

Prayers for those murdered
This guy was arrested a while back at the White House. His guns were confiscated and went to his father. Somehow he got one or all of them back
🙏🕊️

Whether it does or not, the officers with the dogs are the ones who said the dogs lost the scent. They had tracked him to a crawl space in the area yesterday morning and were there for 15-20 minutes. The officers came out of the crawl space and they resumed looking through the woods, the last place he was actually seen. A little while later, the officers said the dogs had lost the scent and gave the rain as the reason.

They will continue looking today. It’s still raining but will be intermittent. If he hasn’t killed himself, I expect he’s holed up somewhere, perhaps with another gun.

I track. The dogs lost the scent. We must trust our dogs.
Perhaps the dogs couldn’t pick up the scent again after the crawl space. It can be a challenge.
Those dogs are amazing though. There is one competition here where dogs track at night, the person they are tracking lays a bit of a trail. Hops in a car for a few km. Then gets out and starts laying down trail again.
This guy sounds really unwell mentally. I hope he is caught fast.

I don’t think so. I don’t think the NRA wants crazy people to have guns and they definitely don’t want them to use them to kill. But even if they didn’t have guns they’d use knives like the man did in California killing another man in a restaurant.
Of course the NRA doesn’t want a guy like this to have a firearm. @Jagged regularly, intentionally, and dishonestly slanders the NRA and its members.

Yes, the guy is mentally unstable. A few years ago, he thought Taylor Swift was stalking him and harassing him. And then last year, he was charged with trespassing on the White House property.

I don’t understand why they gave the guns back to his father. The father should’ve known his son was 5 cans short of a six pack. Yet, he gave the guns back to his son.

I so agree with you.

So many cracks to keep falling through.

He had 4 guns. 3 were in his truck. The 4th was used in the shootings. All were guns returned to him by his father. I wonder if they’ll also hold the father accountable for the murders since he had to know his son was unstable. (With that kind of track record, how could he not?)

This is the 2nd mass shooting we’ve had in 7 months.

Do they think he was planning a bigger shooting, with all the guns

I live in a southern state and we had an asylum since before the War of Yankee Agression. I think the ‘experts’ decided that it was better to not institutionalize people. Also, the courts made it harder to commit someone.
After a while the it became pointless to have the institutions. The same thing has happened with orphanages.

You assume that evil acts can’t be done by sane people, but that isn’t true. You and I both do evil acts and we are probably reasonably sane.

That’s between you and him. I just know Jagged’s constant misrepresentations

And he should be held to account. For that

No I don’t assume that. Evil acts can obviously be committed but sane people.

What I said is anyone “indiscriminately kills people” is crazy. In this case, someone ran into a Waffle House buck naked with a gun and started shooting random people. You couldn’t write a better script to illustrate insanity.

Selective outrage. And I don’t know why you think exnihilo’s slander of liberals is a private affair, but Jagged’s comments about the NRA is as public outrage.
