Actually it seems like he hates it when the evil committed by muslims is swept under the rug. I don’t think the O.P. could have called it better mocking how so many people coddle the muslims. And sure enough someone rose to the bait - and accused the O.P. of hating muslims. As if the O.P. is guilty of some great sin.

maybe the problem is that as Christians we feel we should instinctly side with the underdog - but we forget at our peril that in the Bible it says blessed are those persecuted for Jesus’ sake, not because they have opposed God by persecuting his people
we should pray for Muslims to be converted and freed from the prison of Islam

Come on, you just can’t claim that calling “hate” hate, is brushing things under the carpet… Speak the truth in love…Have this mind in you which was in Christ Jesus…love your enemies…pray for them that despitefully use you for my name sake…return not evil for evil…all things so quickly forgotten…but then following Christ has never been easy…sometimes the end result IS a cross, or sword…or gun…I doubt if the same “spirit” used on this board toward Muslims was used in those first few centuries…there would be no Chrisianity left…at least not one we could ever identify…I barely can identify it as it stands.

No one is saying “sweep it under the carpet”, that’s a misdirection and deceit on your part…not mine.

Excuse me for my typing…I shall strive to do a better editing in the future…the things people will “pick on”…amazing.

I think what WE should do, is examine our own hearts…pray for those who do these things at the very least then put feet to our prayers and perhaps work toward finding a solution to the violence…removing the ones who did this violence and inflaming our own violent reactions will do just that…flame the violence…we are called to peace…and coupled to peace is often a cross…we are to partake in Christ’s suffering on behalf of these people…until we stop demonizing them…hating them…inciting hate toward them and work where we are at to promote peace…peace will never happen…we can trade insults with one another and insult Muslims and decry their violence…or we can feel pity for them…try to find a reason to love them…we are the only hands and hearts HE has in this world…seeking peacful solutions is never easy…prayer vigils…ecumenical prayer meetings(yes I pray with Muslims, I even pray with Catholics , but until WE who believe ourselves to be the People of God move as a force of good and love and peace in this world…there will be no change…

From many of the posts I do not see Jesus reflected in many of them…I know it’s not easy…it’s not supposed to be…no wonder they can not see Christ in “christianity” (small capital on purpose)…He’s sadly missing.

I for one hate the fact that Christians can’t do their duty (evangelize) in Muslim countries without fear of being martyred.

Yet Muslims are free to come to our countries and proclaim Muhammad as the last prophet, and Allah the same God of the Bible. If we are to look at Muhammad as the last Prophet, and then look at the actions of many of his followers, one would assume that the religion itself is fundamentally flawed except for the fact that we happen to believe in the same God, but fundamentally differently.

I guess for me it is the daily news of these crimes committed by muslims. And the fact that muslims seem so indifferent to it while if one of them stubs his toe it’s riot time.

I do not pretend to pray with them…it is not cosmetic…the common ground is the Source of Life and the Ground of All Being, we are in the Presence…the True Presence because He is there among us…

As long as Christians cannot work together to pray for peace and to work out solutions, they will always be separate from us…we must “live in that virtue of life which takes away the occasion of war…” Until we as the People of God can STAND arm and arm and show the world how we handle our differences…we can’t offer them anything of substance.

Yes He is among us now…and He is among the killers too…calling to them…offering hope and forgiveness, but they can’t hear Him over our voices.
