As I said, as long as Christians cannot set down at the same table and work out solutions…TOGETHER…well…you’re right “there will be no peace”. We will continue to talk past one another, and the people who have the answers, supposedly those who follow Christ will never be heard over the din spoken against the Muslims.well I see the actions of Mr Kember and see total foolishness!
your post has lots of vague sounding sentiments and very little Christian content IMO - it’s basically saying wouldn’t the world be a nicer place if we’d all sit down together and talk
naive in the extreme IMO
sounds very much like the end times prophecy of people saying “peace, peace” where there is no peace
“Man must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love.”
“We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.”
"Nonviolence is the answer to the crucial political and moral questions of our time; the need for mankind to overcome oppression and violence without resorting to oppression and violence. Mankind must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love
Dr. Martin Luther King
I know where nonviolence leads…to a cross…to an asassins bullet…then to…I haven’t buried my head in the sand…everything I’ve read tells me nonviolence leads to death…
On one side we have Muslim suicide bombers willing to die for their beliefs…on the other we have Christians who would rather strike back…I don’t have the courage yet to place myself where the four martyrs did…but I do know if any of the violence is to stop…that’s where we have to go…it’s we who have to change…not the Muslims…we’re the one who claims we have the answers in Christ…they just don’t know we do yet…they can’t see Him in us…they only see themselves.
