What are your 5 favorite TV series? One caveat: it’s preferable to list a series you can access online somewhere.
  1. Breaking Bad (so depressing though)
  2. Better Call Saul (yes, you’re sensing a trend)
  3. King of The Hill
  4. The Office (US version)
  5. The Wonder Years

A local radio station did this last week, getting callers to name their favorites, so it’s been on my mind. I would have to go with;

Seinfeld
Corner Gas (for non Canadians;
)
Barney Miller
Rat Patrol
The Colbert Report

This is a pretty solid list. Gotta add The Wire, though.

Twin Peaks
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008)
Cowboy Bebop
The Twilight Zone
Adventure Time

Firefly
The Carol Burnett Show
Justified
Jeopardy!
The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson

(Honorable mentions to the previously mentioned Barney Miller, King of the Hill, and The Dick Van Dyke Show)

Dark Shadows–that show literally saved me from school bullies and helped me to discover my own talents. I think that Dark Shadows is also the reason why one of my daughters is a professional in the entertainment industry today.

The Unit–great show that gave me a lot of appreciation for our military, especially the Special Forces.

The Flintstones–so much creativity! And I LOVE the animals, especially the garbage disposal! I want one of them!

Scorpion–a great program that showed what “brains” are capable of. I wish it wouldn’t have gone off the air before the romance between Walter and Paige was settled. And my favorite actor, Robert Patrick, had one of his best moments when he rappelled down the dam–he was really doing that, it wasn’t CGI! His wife came to watch him the day it was filmed! She was probably praying he wouldn’t die! (They are Christians.)

Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman–our whole family used to watch it, and my daughters still indulge in occasional binge-watching during holidays when the weather is bad. Hope this doesn’t sound trite, but the men in that show were so good-looking!

One more (sorry, it’s hard to limit it to five–great topic, though!)–Arrested Development I was hooked from the very first show, and I kept trying to convince my family to watch it. FINALLY my older daughter started it from the beginning–and she didn’t move away from the TV (other than bathroom trips) for many many hours–she loved it! And then my husband decided to give it a try–same thing happened to him! The humor, the quirkiness, the acting, the script–it was an amazing show! Whenever I see frozen chocolate-covered bananas, I just have to buy one.

Again, great topic. Thanks, and I love reading about everyone’s favorite TV shows!

Oh, the Carol Burnett Show was awesome! I didn’t think of that.

Archer
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Frasier
