Jon Stewart had a hilarious piece on the pepper spraying cop. I guess if you’re called Tony Baloney for your whole life you might go on a pepper spraying binge.

The Rich Get Richer (Pay No Taxes). And the Poor Get Poorer.
If the rich pay no taxes then who does?

My father grew up poor, I can’t imagine what he had to go through. I’m sorry to say but the standards for most poor are far from being poor, and those few who are truly poor live like my father did 40 years ago.

It doesn’t, it’s just easier to spend other people’s money.

The top 25% of earners pay 84% of all federal income tax. 47% pay nothing. how does that trnaslate into the rich not paying taxes?
They’re getting huge tax cuts that they don’t need. They claim it’s to make jobs, but it’s all a lie. The 400 richest Americans pay an 18% tax rate. Warren Buffet is saying that his tax rate is lower than that of his secretary.

By the way, 47% of Americans don’t pay income taxes for three reasons; retired people have no income, unemployed people have no income, and some people don’t make enough money to pay income tax

This is nothing but class envy. None of it is true. If you have evidence otherwise, please provide it.

The poverty level is 12%. Why arent the other 35% contibutng anything?

The truth is the rich actually pay about twice as much(rate wise) as the middle class. Their average rate is 29% for the middle class its 15%.

Ignorance about how the tax system and the economy works is rife among the protestors. It was painful to watch them interviewed-all the money we spend on education and we turn out such economically illiterate people?

Yes, liberals heard that and ran with it. Makes them look rather silly I think. From what I heard, he came out this week and said that nobody who makes a living off of a regular job should be taxed, regardless of income. And that government should get it’s income tax revenue from those who make money off of money and not off of those who create jobs.

I doubt we will hear Obama or any other liberal using that bit in their anti rich rhetoric though.

Wrong. The richest are paying much lower

Obama’s a conservative democrat, so no, he’ll never take any pro-middle class stance. He may talk, but he won’t walk

I’ve often wondered this myself. Of course I also don’t see how a widening gap between rich and poor is the same thing as the poor getting poorer, especially given that material quality of life is improving across the board, but hey.

This particularly galls me. It is really frustrating to read and hear how economically ignorant the American public has become.
