I started a 12STEP program, Celebrate Recovery there, at their church and the meetings with modern music, their kindness, fellowship is infectious. We don’t have that at my parish.

Yes, Protestant congregations do have wonderful fellowship. I would not trade it for the Eucharist though. Try reaching out to your fellow parishioners, they may be longing for someone to show them kindness and fellowship. Maybe God has put this on your heart so that you can help bring this sense of community into your parish that you’ve seen in the non-denom church.

I have lots of friends at my parish but their enthusiasm doesn’t compare to this other church.
We had lots of activities and ministries but the Sister who ran all that quit and we now have someone few people like. She cut lots of the activities and some people just don’t want to work with her and they quit.
And don’t get me started on our music.
Are there any Catholic parishes that have lively music?

I have learned that if I want love in my parish it must begin with me.
I was raised in a wonderful Protestant Church and I loved it and I was loved by the people there.
When I became a Catholic, I did find that Catholics are more reserve and it took awhile to understand. But, in time and with patience I discovered that their love runs deep and quiet.

They have CR at some Catholic parishes, though not in my area. I tried to get one at mine but they didn’t accept my suggestion.

I am not a Lutheran. I am a Catholic. But your statement really concerns me.
Do people really decide what Church they will attend in order to satisfy their taste in the same manner one choses a restaurant to eat?
I don’t agree with Lutheran doctrine but like Catholics, Lutherans take their teachings seriously and do not set up their teachings to satisfy the tastes of people. Their desire is to please God not the passing tastes of people.

I am sure that church is not a part of ELCA, but probably belongs to one of the more fundamental Lutheran synods. Like the LCMS or the
Wisconsin synod.

Lively music won’t get you to Heaven; only the Eucharist can do that.
All Catholic Churches have it, and no non-Catholic churches, regardless of how friendly the people are or how lively the music is.

Nor do Catholics. Magic has nothing to do with what a priest does. It is not his power and authority, it is the power and authority of Christ acting through his validly ordained priest. It is Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, who confects the Eucharist. Have you ever heard the term “in persona Christi”?
Really? That is the first time I have ever heard such a thing from a Lutheran. Why, then, is there such an effort to claim apostolic succession (and therefore valid orders)?and that anyone can “confect the Eucharist” by using the proper form although it is better for a pastor to do so “for the good order of the church.”
