I’ll going to be honest, i’m going give up on this thread and i’ll let you all think what you want to because your only interested in voicing your own opinion here, and i have exams to worry about now
That’s good. Because, obviously, you have come here for a dialogue and to perhaps learn something from us Catholics. Not a trace of forcing your opinion as fact down our throats.I’ll going to be honest, i’m going give up and i’ll let you all think what you want to because your only interested in voicing your own opinion here, and i have exams to worry about now![]()
Read some of your posts and they do not make strong support for your agrument. If you want to make a point that the Ottomans who killed the 800 did not represent Islam, fine. Your trying to put up an anlogy with the Americans in Iraq and Afghanizstan is weak because America is not Christian, they are pretty much secular. Unless you are telling us that the Ottomans were secular. But if that was so, you have to do more to convince us.I’ll going to be honest, i’m going give up on this thread and i’ll let you all think what you want to because your only interested in voicing your own opinion here, and i have exams to worry about now![]()
Exams are the least you need to worry about.I’ll going to be honest, i’m going give up on this thread and i’ll let you all think what you want to because your only interested in voicing your own opinion here, and i have exams to worry about now![]()
I’m very happy about the canonization. I hope that this will give some courage to the numerous Christians today that are being persecuted by Muslims. We should all pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are suffering in this way.
As always Sam, thanks for your post!

Did you know that Blessed Pope John Paul II urged against war in Iraq? Its true. See this link:

Thanks, I was reading the wikipedia article for year 1655:
I agree…I think this thread is being hijacked by those working in a coordinated effort to take the focus off of centuries of Muslim aggression and murder of those that don’t convert to Islam when it takes over an area. The 57 Islamic states are not free democracies and when Sharia law is enforce and put to place, Christians, Jews and anyone else not a Muslim is in trouble. More Christians and Jews have been killed by Islam than anything else in the 1400 years of Islam.
Trying to sidetrack the tread with what about heresy groups in the middle ages, the crusades or the current war in the middle east doesn’t answer the violence as taught in the Koran and my Mohammed himself. The thread is about the current Pope honoring on martyr from the Ottoman empire. There are many more and we need to pray for all Christians and Jews in the middle east where their safety and freedom are directly threaten by Islam and those that want the world as one big sharia, Islamic state.
