If we want to talk of precious stones, instead of looking at Nobel Peace Prizes, we should look at the true precious stones. Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II come to mind.

The stones that worry about Nobel prizes and such are not precious in the eyes of God because … they preferred human praise to the glory of God. The true precious stones don’t do this.

Read Ben Masada’s post above. He is elevating himself and his people as calling them better than anyone else on the planet. Saying the Jews have won all the Nobel Peace prizes. Well, Mother Teresa also one it. Just trying to give him a taste of his own medicine.
And where is that in Scripture? 😉 Is that Matthew? Or Luke?

Let Ben’s arguments reveal his true self and the fallacy of his logic. He doesn’t need any help from you.

If the jews are the chosen people according to ben and adam and eve where the first humans theyre descendants where the jews then all of us too come from the same background we can all be the chosen people

Like I keep telling him and others here, Jesus was to come to the Jews, so that they could lead Him to us, the Gentiles, in which we are the chosen one’s now…

Maybe I missunderstood something but it has been my understasnding that the fact that God came to dwell among us was to show all of us the way to Himself through His teachings and examples. Would that not make all of us His chosen people?

Humble Made, I did not write those texts. Therefore, they are not my fabrications. They are Scriptures. The only Scriptures that Jesus used to handle. The only Scriptures that Jesus used to call them Word of God. They say that Jesus was not put to death for our sins. They say that only for his own guilt shall a man be put to death. So, please, don’t get so mad at me. At least, tell me that what you don’t want is that those pages be open and those quotations be heard. Okay, I’ll do that, but don’t say they are my fabrications. They are the Word of God.

Humble Maid
I pray sincerely for you Ben. I would hope that this is an earnest plea. I went this morning to church and prayed for you, myself and others. Why? For the sole reason to reach out for the Lord’s mercy.

You claim Paul was the one who brought in the christian religion that replaced the Nazarenes thus forsaking the judaic laws. This is what really upsets you. Paul’s testimony was to the Gentiles and allowed them to be part of God’s people without the burden of the Mosaic Laws; he confronted the jewish apostles concerning this issue. This matter was settled among the other apostles.

You stated that in some way Paul betrayed his faith and that we (gentiles) made poor Jesus (a fellow jew) a god-man. For arguments sake, let us say that these nazarenes (who were jewish believers of Jesus) still existed would that make the faith more plausible?

My answer is whether you call yourself a nazarene or christian is irrelevant; the fact remains that Jesus(Yeshuah) is the Christ/Messiah of which both groups accepted. This is what was being disputed among the Pharisee Jews and the Nazarene Jews. That Yeshuah is the, “Lord and God.” Jn 20:28

It was not Paul who betrayed the Jews it was the Pharisees denial of Him who was Jesus sent by God Himself. The worship of God is in spirit; His laws are in our hearts. We obey Him through love and not through the old law.

The New Covenant
Prophecy: Jeremiah 31:31-34
31 “The time is coming,” declares the LORD,
“when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah. -----Jesus’ lineage
**32 It will not be like the covenant
I made with their forefathers
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
**because they broke my **covenant,----Moses covenant is past; new one to be issued. The body and blood of Christ.
though I was a husband to them,”
declares the LORD . **33 “This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel
after that time,” declares the LORD .
"I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts. -----The teachings of christ
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.

34 No longer will a man teach his neighbor,
or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest," ------to all nations even to gentiles
declares the LORD .
“For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.”

Fulfillment: 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Hebrews 8:7-13

The truth can only be comprehended by those the Father chooses to reveal it to. Each one of us is free to believe or not to.

God Bless.

Well, let’s start with your point: You told Humble Maid
**Ahhhh…, you’re not implying that Jesus did something wrong to be put to death, which is what the Scripture implies. It seem you’re saying Jesus made powerful enemies… just as Abe Lincoln and Martin Luther King did.

But how does that go with the Scripture you posted **"**Only for his own guilt shall a man be put to death." **
As I can see, you did not get the thread of my idea. So, there is no use to answer your question. I am left with only one thing to say: Jesus was put to death on political charges.

I did not say ALL the Nobel Prizes, I said HALF. Anyone can detect hatred in your jealous exaggerations.

Yes, you are right. The disciples in the Synagogue of Antioch were called Nazarenes. They started being called Christians after a whole year that Paul spent there teaching them about Jesus as Christ. That’s where Christianity started. With Paul, therefore. In the Nazarene synagogue of Antioch was the first nest Paul laid his cuckcoo bird’s egg. I mean, the first synagogue he robbed the Nazarenes from. Read Acts 11:26.
On what ground do you state that Paul “robbed” the synagogue of Antioch from the Nazarenes? Anything “rock solid”, as they say in the United States?
Also, I thought the synagogue has always been more of a…Jewish thing?

Why haven’t you answered the question, so that no one could accuse you of gratuitous accusations? One who keeps the things he says ambiguous should not complain that the people think he just can’t give them a honest answer…

And what would be wrong if the Jews colleced half the Nobel Prizes? I thought those who choose were anything but Jews…
Also 6 millions out of 11 millions people killed by the Nazis were Jews. It seems that a good number of people would gladly make the whole Jewish people pay for the few of them who might indeed have done real wrong things… To be a Jew per se is not a crime!

It was not Paul who betrayed the Jews it was the Pharisees denial of Him who was Jesus sent by God Himself.
Moreover, Saul/Paul having been one of the zealous learned Jews before he became Jesus’ disciple, the Pharisees may have been way more prone so to consider Paul a traitor, an apostate and a blasphemer. The Apostles had the excuse of not having been so learned. Those who are very learned Jews and yet convert to a religion apparently not kosher for a Jew get a real bitter treatment. Former Chief Rabbi of Rome is one good example. Because he became a Catholic, all of a sudden he was considered a real bad Jewish leader, not really caring for his flock… all that was a slander!

What many Jews have said of Paul ever since he because a disciple of Jesus of Nazareth has been quite slanderous too. To say he betrayed the Church’s Faith is another one. Paul’s faith and the faith of the first Apostles are one. Yes, development of the doctrine started in the first years of the Church. It had to. The question of whether or not to demand that the Gentile who becomes Christian be circumcised was one example.

Sorry! It’s “became”, not “because” (the 10th word of this quote)!

Now I’m really confused. It’s that basically what I said?

But if Jesus was put to death on political charges, it brings up the same question, but for a different reason. Why was Isaiah cut in half? And how could good loyal Jews do this?

**You are right again. The Synagogue has always been a very much Jewish thing. The synagogue of Antioch was a Jewish Nazarene synagogue, which was growing very strong, when James and the Elders from their headquarters in Jerusalem decided to send Barnabas to take over the direction of the Movement in Antioch. (Acts 11:22)

Instead of doing his job as he was told to, Barnabas went to Tarsus looking for Paul to invite him to work with him, because they had always been good friends from youth. (Acts 11:25)

That’s all that Paul wanted to rob his first synagogue. But to do so, he had to spend a whole year there, preaching about Jesus as Christ. That’s why at the end of the year, the disciples of the Nazarenes started being called Christians for the first time. (Acts 11:26) Christianity had started. That was about 30 years after Jesus had been gone. Believe me, nothing can be more “rock solid” than this.**

**And I return to the same question to answer yours when you answer mine: How could the good American People kill so many good Presidents? What did John Kennedy do for the American people to kill him? What did Abraham Lincoln do for the American People to kill him? And for the peace-maker between Blacks and Whites Martin Luther King do for the American People to kill him? Do you have the answers? **

Why weren’t there any “Nazarene” sects left over after some converted to Christianity? St. Paul couldn’t have converted 100% of them, could he?

Yes. I would say all of these people were killed by rogues. None of these people, it could be said, were killed by “the American People”.

Jesus, Isaiah, and numerous other prophets, however…

And none of these Americans were killed by the leaders of the US. But Jesus, Isaiah, and numerous other prophets, however…
