**The Vatican would never approve an apparition that said what this says - **read above about the specifics of some of the prophecies and you will see that Mother said masonic influence will infiltrate the church in the later part of the 20th century. That is the same reason why maria divine mercy has been condemned. That would be like admitting that Pope Francis is the false prophet in the book of revelations. The reality is that all previous prophecies in this series of apparitions Mother made have come true. There is at least one book I have discovered that details these and other online materials also. Teach yourself about the material and give yourself a chance to correctly judge it. God and Mother would never condone any quick and harsh judgement of any alleged apparition.
So, we are supposed to take a personal approval over the competent authority of the Church? Are you sure that you’re Catholic?

we are all allowed to believe what we want - I have no need to convince you or anyone - it is fine if you don’t believe, that is your own business. I made the post mainly to try to get people to invoke Mary under this title - and I thought it best to give some background - the first answer to the post was from an elder - I suppose checking on it to see if it was appropriate - he allowed it.

Actually, we’re not. While the Church cannot control people’s mental activities, she can formally not allow her priest, religious and others to promote something that has not met the criteria for approval. An obedient child of the Church should concern themselves less with things not approved and more with those that are.

Current Canonical Explanation: RESPONSE TO APPARITIONS AND VISIONARIES FOR ROMAN CATHOLICS

Since the abolition of Canon 1399 and 2318 of the former Code of Canon Law by Paul VI in AAS58 (1966) page 1186, publications about new apparitions, revelation, prophecies, miracles, etc., have been allowed to be distributed and read by the faithful without the express permission of the Church, providing that they contain nothing which contravenes faith and morals. This means, no imprimatur is necessary.

The bold means that it has to have some sort of authoritative response. In any event, it is a very precarious position to hold that approval of the competent authority of the Church is not necessary.

👍

In other words…trying to avoid causing a mass panic among christians.

Example…You do not inform the public when an asteroid is going to hit earth in 2 weeks, instead you wait, not disclosing all the details, wait and see approach, then make it public when its the day of the strike.

Id say the church will take this same route, its better for them to not say anything definitively one way or the other too early.

Looking back at it, even the title of this thread is false. This apparition is NOT Church approved and as such, has little to no meaning in the life of the Church.

Are you saying that the Church hierarchy is so duplicitous and self-serving as to do something such as deceiving the faithful for its own fortune?

As a point of information the local Bishop is the competent Church authority. Private revelations under the discernment process do not need to go to the CDF.

Not so much about deceiving for their fortune versus trying to keep things at the status quo so to speak.

It would be like if the financial experts saw a possible collapse coming down the road, they would NEVER EVER announce that to the public, instead they would just avoid the subject or just keep saying everything is fine, keep going to work, keep paying your bills, keep spending, borrowing, etc etc. Once they give credibility to a ‘prophecy’ or rumor,(approving it in other words) it would start to cause panic, runs on banks, people stop paying bills, etc

Can you think of ANY official church approved prophecy that involves destruction, or even a major change in how things are done in the world? (considering the type of world we live in today especially), Ive read numerous ‘unapproved’ prophecies that predict all kinds of crazy and destructive acts sent by God, but it would not be beneficial to approve those kinds of things, it would just cause people to get scared and cause panic. That would not be good for the secular world or the christian world.

As far as I know, the Church does not approve prophecies. The protocol is usually to declare something as “worthy of belief,” though it is not required that the faithful give consent. Do you have any examples of “prophecy” that the Church has ever “approved?”

But it is ultimately the CDF that gives clearance for pilgrimages and devotions, is it not?

Mary specifically mentioned “Masonic sects?”

  1. The Number of the Beast: 666
666 indicated thrice, that is to say, for the third time, expresses the year 1998, nineteen-hundred and ninety-eight. In this period of history, Freemasonry, assisted by its ecclesiastical form, will succeed in its great design: that of setting up an idol to put in the place of Christ and of his Church. A false christ and a false church. Consequently, the statue built in honor of the first beast, to be adored by all the inhabitants of the earth and which will seal with its mark all those who want to buy or sell, is that of the Antichrist. You have thus arrived at the peak of the purification, of the great tribulation and of the apostasy. The apostasy will be, as of then, generalised because almost all will follow the false christ and the false church. Then the door will be open for the appearance of the man or of the very person of the Antichrist!

a forum elder has weighed in and said - “As a point of information the local Bishop is the competent Church authority. Private revelations under the discernment process do not need to go to the CDF”

Revelations “under the discernment process” does NOT mean that it is approved as worthy of belief for the universal Church.

That was 20 years ago. Has it come to fruition?

Catholic Church Approval

The apparitions of Our Lady of Good Success to Mother Mariana are approved by the Catholic Church.

This simply says that the Church of the convent is dedicated in honor to Mary of Good Success. It says nothing from the authority of the Holy See about these revelations being worthy of belief.
