1998 is the start of the time period.
"666 indicated thrice, that is to say, for the third time, expresses the year 1998, nineteen-hundred and ninety-eight. In this period of history, Freemasonry, assisted by its ecclesiastical form, will succeed in its great design: that of setting up an idol to put in the place of Christ and of his Church. "

This doesn’t say anything about starting in 1998; it says "the year 1998…Freemasonry…will succeed in its great design: that of setting up an idol to put in the place of Christ and of his Church. "

So, where is this idol in place of Christ and His Church?

This simply says that the Church of the convent is dedicated in honor to Mary of Good Success. It says nothing from the authority of the Holy See about these revelations being worthy of belief.
No one is going to change their mind about this - I believe - you don’t - let’s just stop this discussion - it is going nowhere.

We will have to wait and see… I don’t have a crystal ball.

Not so much about deceiving for their fortune versus trying to keep things at the status quo so to speak.

It wouldmi be like if the financial experts saw a possible collapse coming down the road, they would NEVER EVER announce that to the public, instead they would just avoid the subject or just keep saying everything is fine, keep going to work, keep paying your bills, keep spending, borrowing, etc etc. Once they give credibility to a ‘prophecy’ or rumor,(approving it in other words) it would start to cause panic, runs on banks, people stop paying bills, etc

Can you think of ANY official church approved prophecy that involves destruction, or even a major change in how things are done in the world? (considering the type of world we live in today especially), Ive read numerous ‘unapproved’ prophecies that predict all kinds of crazy and destructive acts sent by God, but it would not be beneficial to approve those kinds of things, it would just cause people to get scared and cause panic. That would not be good for the secular world or the christian world.
Financial experts give warnings all the time, for example.if they think the housing mafket is going to drop or the like. To be sure they aren’t always heeded, and they don’t always get it right either. It’s not an exact science.

It isn’t a case of changing my mind. You supplied a statement that does not say what you wish it to say.

What may be going on in our church and in the stock market crashing do have some common elements. Firstly, in both cases the vast majority people are not paying attention - that it is only the few who are awake and secondly, some of those who are paying attention see a pattern - numerous signs all pointing in the same direction - serious trouble. Thirdly, in either case - some will deny, rationalize, and twist what is obvious into what they want to believe. This is the downfall of civilizations - people not wanting to accept the truth because they don’t like it so they manufacture what it is they want to believe. In 2 Thessalonians it speaks of the great deception that will take place in the end times. God is allowing this as it is what will separate the wheat from the chaff. We don’t learn from history - a good example would be the economic crash that happened in Holland centuries ago when the price of tulip bulbs collapsed and so did the economy. The Pope has not answered the dubia - and through his silence is condoning error, it seems to me. We could be very well headed for a formal schism - but in hearts this has already happened - since you can’t walk the fence Christ sees us as upholding the tradition and deposit of faith or in support of “modern” (or what I call “flip-flop”) theology.

BINGO!!! There we have it! Yet another doom & gloom prophet who is more Catholic than the pope. No wonder your fanaticism about “prophecy” and unapproved apparitions, then.
