Some of us are not “laissez faire”, we teach our children, we correct oru children, we take monthly trips to Confession as a family - I for one do not force my child into the confessional.
We know that this week is time for Confession, and we discuss it together as a family, we go together during time for Confession, we kneel and prepare ourselves. We take our turn (or not) in the confessional, return to pray and prepare for Mass. There are other times when we as parents feel the child may need a nudge to go to confession at time between the regular visits, and we do that.
We are blessed that our kids have opportunities for Confession during CCD as well as available Confession on the same grounds as our Youth Center.
I agree, attending Mass is not an option for kids as long as they live in my house.
