Hi, Prayer Warriors. The prodigal is back. I do hope you know I remember you all in my pryaers. I’ve been so tired, but I should have been coming here more.

I am begging prayers for a happy death for myself. I saw the oncologist last Friday (7/23), and have been given 3 to 6 months. I have hospice coming to the house, and one of my nephews is coming to visit next week from the east coast.

May I ask someone here to remember my son, Bob in their prayers. He finally got a job, praise God, so I doubt he’ll be able to travel to see me, but miracles happen. He’s having alot of problems with his marriage. I just want him to get close to God.

And Please, please pray for my soul. I’m ready to go. I just don’t want to go to the wrong place. I’m tired, and I want to go home to our wonderful Lord. I will pray for this place, and everyone here as long as God lets me. God bless you all.

Praying for you my Dear Sister.I will also pray for your son.

Hello Baptista/Peggy,

I am relatively new here, so we have not met before, but I am absolutely touched by your post. Thank you for praying hard and patiently. No prayer is ever wasted by a loving and merciful God.

As a very inexperienced “prayer warrior,” I admit that I have never prayed for a happy death for anyone…I feel sad, but also grateful - by praying for your happy death, I am participating (however distantly) in the mystery of eternal life. Praise be Jesus Christ that we may have and know such hope!

O God, great and omnipotent judge of the living and the dead, we are to appear before you after this short life to render an account of our works. Give us the grace to prepare for our last hour by a devout and holy life, and protect us against a sudden and unprovided death. Let us remember our frailty and mortality, that we may always live in the ways of your commandments. Teach us to “watch and pray” (Lk 21:36), that when your summons comes for our departure from this world, we may go forth to meet you, experience a merciful judgment, and rejoice in everlasting happiness. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

O Eternal Father, we also ask you to bless and protect Bob. You surely know his joys and difficulties as he starts a new job and needs to be with his mother. May he know your love and divine mercy during this time and draw closer to you. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I say several prayers every morning when I wake up for those in Purgatory. Since heaven is outside of time, I can add you to those prayers now and they'll apply as soon as you die. (I know that sounds a little strange, but Padre Pio said so. LOL)

Anyway, you might enjoy the video on End of Life Issues at my website. Here's the link:

And if you think about it, please keep me in your prayers, too. Our family needs a some financial help. I'm a firm believer in redemptive suffering. I was going to remind you of it and explain it had you not put something in your post.

I have long prayed to God that if it was His will, that He allow me to die a lingering death with cancer or something so I could have lots to offer up. My wife thinks I'm crazy, and so do my friends, but they're thinking short term, not long term. :)
May Our Lord bless you and keep you. May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He give you the grace to accept death from the hands of Our Lord in the time, place, and manner of His choosing, and finally hear Him say, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.”

God bless!

Lord just overwhelm my dear sister with You peace that passes understanding…Thank You Lord for her testimony of Your faithfulness…Let her be a light during this time to someone who has no hope…Let Your fragrance just radiate from her … Let her walk in the blessed assurance that absent from the body give her present with You…You are so good and faithful Lord, Blessed be Your name in all the earth…Thank You for a race that is almost complete…Prepare her way in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus…

PS. Lord touch her son, let this be a tuning point for Him in drawing closer
to You during this time…Also work in the rest of her family and fill them
with You peace…We magnify Your name … You Lord are Rock. Fortress, Shield and High Tower…

**I will pray to Saint Benedict for you.

God Bless Your Courage!**

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Thank you all for your prayers, especially for my son. And thank you Scooby for the link! I will be getting off the computer to rest, and I will say an extra prayer for each of you.

And, Lord, let me help bring a friend back to you along the way somehow.

Blessed Mother continue to grant the necessary graces that Baptista needs to deal w/ her needs. Also, Mother keep Baptista’s son, Bob, strong to handle the stress this is causing for him, keep him strong for his mother’s sake and his. Mother when it comes time for Baptista’s movement to her home in heaven let it be switch. In Jesus’ Name I pray :crossrc::console::heaven:

Peace and all that is good

Dear sister in Christ,

You will have my prayers today here and tomorrow there. I don’t even know you but I feel a loss of your leaving us. Please pray for His body here as we are all called to live in difficult times that we will be faithful to Him and are strong witnesses of His love in this world. I will pray also for your son and his marraige.

Lord Jesus, be with my sister and be her strength as she is dying. Your strength is made perfect in our weakness. Bring Your Holy Angels to minister to her each day and prepare her for seeing You soon. Lord, we also lift her dear son before you asking if in Your will that You would provide a way for him to see her. Please also bring Your healing power to his marraige. We ask all in the precious Name of Your Beloved Son, Jesus our Lord. To Him be the Glory, Honor and Power forever and ever, Amen.

My love in Him,
mlz:highprayer::crossrc:

May your prayers be answered Baptista/Peggy. May our Lord Jesus Christ embrace you as you complete your pilgrimage in this world. May Christ smile upon you and say “Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master!”

Know that you are in my prayers this evening.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Peggy, I am praying for you and your son now and I will offer up my rosary prayers for you tonight …

Loving God,

We thank you for your many blessings in our lives, and today we especially thank you for the gift of answered prayers, in what ever form the answer may come. We lift up our intentions for our friend Peggy who has been dealing with much pain and suffering in her life for some time. Despite these challenges, your daughter Peggy has been consistent in her love for you and in praying for your involvement in the lives of all those dear to her. Lord, we ask that you grant our friend continued strength, courage, and trust in your divine providence. We ask that you comfort and console her during this period of trial and anxiety as she faces the completion of her journey on earth towards an eternal life of happiness with you. Please also bless her son and his situation, and help the bonds of love to overcome all difficulties in his life.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Amen.

Again, thank you all so much for your prayers. I am glad to be nearing the end, and only pray that Jesus will take me home. I may spend quite some time in Purgatory, but as long as it’s not hell, that is a good thing. Please pray also that I may be some sort of inspiration in a good way in having a friend come back to believing in God.

And I will continue to pray for everyone here.

Ok, we will:gopray2: Prayers for you son also and you Peggy.

I will look forward to meeting you some day…time is strange, we are so “finite minded” but I’m sure it will seem much different.

My love in Him forever,
mlz
