Peggy, I find your courage heroic. Said a prayer for you and I’m sure you will stick in my memory for a long, long time. I’m a cancer survivor, stage 3 and we know what that means. One day it will get me, sure enough. When you see the Lord, remember me too. Thanks.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Praying for you too, brave soul! I hope that when my time comes I am as ready to go as you. I admire your cheerfulness and courage - both of them are great graces that have been given to you.

Don’t forget to commend Lormar to Our Lord and His Blessed Mother when you see Them. She needs prayers too.

Loving God,

We thank you for your many blessings in our lives, and today we especially thank you for the gift of answered prayers, in what ever form the answer may come. We lift up our intentions for our friend Peggy who has been dealing with much pain and suffering in her life for some time. Despite these challenges, your daughter Peggy has been consistent in her love for you and in praying for your involvement in the lives of all those dear to her. Lord, we ask that you grant our friend continued strength, courage, and trust in your divine providence. We ask that you comfort and console her during this period of trial and anxiety as she faces the completion of her journey on earth towards an eternal life of happiness with you. Please also bless her son and his situation, and help the bonds of love to overcome all difficulties in his life.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Amen.

Dear Peggy (Baptista),

I read your post and I have such a mix of emotions. Your courage is unbelievable!!! I don’t know you and tears are rolling down my cheeks for you. I will also pray for your son Bob.

I’m sure the pain will be over and the joy of Heaven will begin for eternity. Talk about a knock out punch of a post lady. You have so much dignity and honor I hope to meet you in Heaven someday and get to know you. Since you will know everything and I will be a newbie, hopefully, please introduce yourself. You are the first that made this big guy cry like a baby. Thank you for one of the most powerful lessons of my life.

Dear Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit and Mother Mary please walk Peggy into her new home and prepare her for the most wonderful eternity that none of us can even imagine. Please watch over her son, Bob and guide him along the same path to Heaven so they can be reunited in Your time. Please allow Peggy to end her days with dignity and love and may she be thinking of You and in peace when it is time to go. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Light of the World. Amen

Dear Peggy, except when you’re feeling down, you must be so excited to think that it won’t be very many months before you go home to God. I know I would be. Like you I’d be concerned for my sons. I will keep your son and his marriage in my prayers.

Dearest Lord please carry Peggy though this difficult time of her life as she struggles with discomfort and pain, and sorrow for the difficulties of her son. Help her to retain confidence in Your merciful love, and let her, with confidence, read again, Matthew 25 verses 31-40 which will remind her that You remember every one of her kind deeds however small.

God bless you, Peggy.
I’ll be praying for you each day at Mass.

Love, Trishie

O God, great and omnipotent judge of the living and the dead, we are to appear before you after this short life to render an account of our works. Give us the grace to prepare for our last hour by a devout and holy life, and protect us against a sudden and unprovided death. Let us remember our frailty and mortality, that we may always live in the ways of your commandments. Teach us to “watch and pray” (Lk 21:36), that when your summons comes for our departure from this world, we may go forth to meet you, experience a merciful judgment, and rejoice in everlasting happiness. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

God bless you Baptista, you’re very brave!
