An emotion is not petty if properly ordered. Emotions are ordered according to the judgement of intellect. God is intellect. Intellect is natural to human life.

If something that belongs to us is taken without our consent and given to another, jealousy is a tool that for us maintains the motivation required to return things to their proper order. When this is accomplished by human agency it is a work motivated by jealousy in the service of intellect. Whether or not God feels anything when violated this way matters less than the fact that He will accomplish the same end that for us requires the drive provided by jealousy. Jealousy maintains for us, the drive to do what is necessary to return things to their proper place. If that happens, we can assume the person who made it happen was motivated by jealousy. The end makes the means evident whether it was an emotion felt or an act of will.

Good to thank God because we and the Universe would not be here if He had not created Everything, even our free-will. (But I’ve wondered why He created the Laws of Calculus; I had to get a Grad Student to explain the basics of Working Calculus problems)

Yes, I think we should out of our own volition love God because he freely chose to create us and not just love him because he commands us to or because he might get jealous if we don’t.

What exactly does that mean? Does any one know any likenesses of what is in heaven above to even be able to know how to interpret this (stars, planets, angels)? With that wording alone it almost seems like some one painting a scene has made a likeness of what is on the earth. I understand how to not worship something, but the likeness condition is ambiguous.

If you know how to not worship something then you don’t have to worry about the likeness condition. Just worship God.
