A Lutheran Rosary?

My grandmother prayed the rosary at her Lutheran church. It was just how things were done at that specific church.
 
I grew up in the Lutheran Church and I have never heard of a Lutheran rosary.
 
I would most strongly encourage the Lutherans to learn to pray the rosary!!!

I have an idea…I am going to see if the Muslims would be interested as well.
 
I have Lutheran and Anglican friends…one Xmas I made “rosarys” for them.

The Anglican Rosary is a bit longer thant the “Protestant” rosary I found on line…the Anglican rosary has four larger beads with seven beads in between and hanging separately in the middle are four beads with a cross…one “invocation bead” and one for each member of the Trinity.

The “Protestant rosary” I made for my Luthean friend has three large beads, one for each member of the Trinity…eleven smaller beads between each of the large beads, one for each year of Christ’s life…and around the bead representing the Son is a small string with a cross hanging from it.

They were well received…each of my friends had their own set prayers they used when using the “rosary”.
 
I was in a religious book store a few months ago and looking for a rosary for a friend. I saw a “Lutheran Rosary” in a gift box with a small prayer book. I don’t know any specifics as I didn’t pay that much attention to it.

I must confess I wouldn’t be able to get into it. Not that I think that “freeform” prayers are superior to repetitive, I just wouldn’t find it much of a help. I can see how it would benefit others, though.
 
i have never heard of the lutheran rosary before, but there is an anglican rosary with its own form of prayer.
