I believe JS was a false prophet. And what zerinus is in support of, I believe falls under the scripture you quote there. I am sure zerinus believes that we fall under it as well.

As for z personally, I don’t see him as a threat. And certainly haven’t seen him perform any signs or miracles! lol. At least he isn’t pointing us to his God forsaken blog.

Since I created my blog, people have not been asking me any more questions relating to the subjects posted on my blog; so it looks like my blog has served its purpose very well. Before, every two days somebody would turn up and ask me the same God forsaken questios over and over again. The favourite one was, “How can you believe in more than one God when Isaiah says there is only one”. It was obvious that those asking the questions were the same people doing so repeatedly under different bogus user names. That was their way of rattling LDS I suppose. When I created my blog, they still continued to do that a few more times, thinking that if I referred them to my blog, and they said they wouldn’t read it, that would throw me off! Well, it didn’t, so they stopped! 😃 Therefore I would say that my blog has been singularly successful.

You can never know the the feeling of being with child.To feel your baby move within you for the first time! Oh the sheer joy of it! To feel your baby hiccup inside of you. To feel her turn within you!
To bond with your child in such a way! That when you push her out into the world you feel so empty and alone that you ache inside!! But your heart swells with love at the sight of her!!
For her to grab your finger for the first time. Her first smile! How she depends on and needs you!

How can you compare that with a disease? You my friend are sadly mistaken.

He didn’t. Rebecca tried to make the implication to my understanding. What you said was true but not for all women. Those who have been raped, pregnant through incest, or pregnant through carelessness may not feel that way. I do believe that incest or rape are difficult issues when it comes to abortion. Also, the result that the mother will die by giving birth is also a difficult issue. But for the catholic church such difficulties do no apply but for many of those women, it does.

If you are haemorrhaging badly form a pregnancy that has gone wrong, and you are likely to bleed to death unless you receive emergency medical treatment, how is that different from having been in a car accident?

So, whyme, are you saying that, if you were a woman and you became pregnant from being raped, pregnant through incest, or pregnant through carelessness you’d go ahead and have an abortion? You realize you can’t possibly be in communion with the catholic faith with an attitude like that about these “difficult issues”? That’s just the plain and simple truth and really, if you can’t accept it you may as well be mormon, as they are quite liberal in their ideas about abortion these days.

As to your comment about the mother dying by giving birth, I have provided the catholic position about that - have you read it? Again, some women would choose to continue their pregnancy even if they have an aggressive form of uterine cancer or an ectopic pregnancy that would take their life as well as the life of the baby. I would say those women have faith beyond anything I can imagine. As our deacon said in class last night, “God brings life from death - thats what God does”. I’d say these women truly “get” that.

Sure! Why not? A devout Catholic doctor would advise of the immorality of such and point the patient elsewhere if they were dead-set on getting it.

I was replying to your previous post about just how pregnant women may feel. I tried to point out that not all women may feel that way after becoming pregnant from rape or incest or from some casual encounter.

The most difficult issue is rape and incest. We all know that children want to look up their parents after adoption. The burden of seeing the child can be traumatic for a rape victim and very traumatic for a child of incest. In the end, it is not a pretty picture.

I cannot judge in this situation no matter what the decision is.

I cannot disagree. But I can understand a women getting a abortion from incest or rape because of the traumatic experience that she encountered. I cannot judge these women.
 
Mormons are historically liberal about abortion. There has been research about the abortion rate at Nauvoo, and it would shake your shoes off.

WhyMe is a liberal Mormon. Not Catholic yet.
 
Some of that research points to Joseph Smith forcing his young plural wives into abortions. Perhaps he was covering up the evidence of his adultery, or he just didn’t want to spoil their girlish figures.
