A question for some Protestants who feel it is necessary to proselytize Catholics

I still say the best source of converts for the Church are the radical happy-clappies themselves. It worked on me.

We don’t “stay with Mary” when we pray the Rosary, Hisalone. The Rosary is a meditation upon the life of Christ, a meditation upon the Gospel. The Hail Mary (which is Scriptural, BTW) is the background for the focus of the Rosary, which is Christ.

Incidentally, you ought to be calling Mary “Blessed”, or else you are not obeying Scripture.

I hope your aversion for all things Catholic does not supercede your love for the Word of God, and that you choose to call Mary “Blessed”, even at the expense of sounding Catholic.

I don’t believe you are being totally open as to what kind of an association you belong to. We are also of Peter, James, John…

I think there are alot of people who can’t deal with fraternal life, with authority. It is just the way they are. They only trust their own way of looking at things.

Why do you come to CAF, Hisalone and what are your goals? Because the comments you make to people degrade the sensibilities of our faith. You are hurtful. And this thread is addressing the attitudes as such.

If one wants to know what a Catholic believes, one can know exactly what the CC teaches.

However, sadly, saying one is nondenominational can mean tens of thousands of different things.

We don’t know what you believe regarding:
-Abortion
-Must your congregation attend weekly services or do you preach they don’t have to go to Church?
-Do you preach Baptism—in Jesus’ name only, or Trinitarian? In a river? Sprinkling? Immersion? Is it aSacrament or ordinance? Adult or infant?
-Can men and women sit together during services?
-Do you preach Charity or no charity (help one another or let them help themselves?)
-Is there Church leadership, or no leadership?
-Do you believe in Death vs Soul Sleep?
-Will you marry a divorcee?
-Is drinking alcohol allowed?
-Can women wear pants? Must they wear head coverings or no head coverings?
-Do you preach the Health and wealth gospel?
-What about Hell, or no hell?
-What does your interpretation of the Bible say about Homosexuality?
-Is God‘s Holy Name Jehovah
-Is it permissible for women to teach Scripture?
*-*Is music played at your services?
-Do you believe in Once saved, always saved?
-Do you profess to being ordained?
-What about Predestination?
-What about the Rapture?
Sola scriptura/private interpretation
-Do you celebrate the Lord’s Supper? If so, do you use grape juice or wine? Drink out of one cup or many little cups?
-Must your congregants speak in Tongues?
-What is original sin and its effects on humanity?
-What’s a sin, what is not a sin? And how does one know?
-When to celebrate the Lord’s Day? Sunday or Saturday?
*-Women pastors–are they allowed?

I believe Jesus is God manifested in flesh to bear our sin and die so that we may be raised with him to everslasting life.

I first came to CAF out of curiosity I stayed to defend Non Catholic beliefs that are constantly under attck. in a nonCatholic forum.

Yeah, but there’s a hundred thousand different permutations of the list I gave above for what you could believe.

And it’s all obtained from the same Scriptures you read–totally different understandings.

It’s peculiar that we wouldn’t be able to glean what it is that you believe simply by stating you’re “nondenominational” isn’t it?

You are claiming that you know all about the RCC, so let’s see you put your money where your mouth is. Please use your *own *knowledge–not someone’s website, and I’m counting on your integrity as a Christian!

When I get to heaven I will meet folks that have had abortions and those that have not had them.
I will meet those that went to weekly services and those that did not.
There will be those that have been baptised and those that have not been.
There will be those that have sat together and those that have not.
There will be none that didnt love.
There will be those that were leaders and those that didnt believe in leaders…

I think you get my drift. What is so important to us might not be so important to God.
Doctrine is important however our sanctification and growth toward that end is much more so.
