Indeed. There is a cognitive dissonance to any moral discussion which involves an atheist who denies that there are objective moral truths.This is absurd. But it sums up secular “morality” quite well actually.
No one goes to a forum to argue whether turnips are better vegetables than okra. At least, there aren’t pages and pages and pages of dialogue about this.
Why?
Because any person who contributes to a “is okra better than turnip” discussion understands that there is no right answer to the question.
It’s a preference only.
The fact that atheists come and try to argue their moral position limns this fact quite clearly: the atheist believes in objective good and bad.
Otherwise, why would he argue for his position?
