He came into the world to bring his light
That we may no longer walk in darkness.

And in the howling wind as the sand drifts in the starkness…
A voice cries out in the desert…Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight his path.

The world sleeps unaware of the aftermath,
This newborn King will bring to mankind.

Sight was restored to the blind,
the deaf hear, the dead are raised
and the poor have good news brought to them.

Off in the distance, preserved by Renoir:

The Holy Family adored by God’s creatures.

All admiring the newborns perfect features
Whilst looking on with reverence and awe.

That Holy Infant—perfect! No flaw!
Promising hope to all mankind!

Fled to Egypt, leaving Bethlehem behind,
Joseph protected his family, from the evil of Herod.

The Holy Family had no reason to be scared,
For the Lord went before them and protected them on their way.

In Egypt for a year they did stay
Until an angel told them it was safe to return.

But for fear of Herod’s son they make a turn,
Towards the town of Nazareth to make a home.

Jesus was born for sin to atone
and all who believe find forgiveness in him.

There was a man named Tim,
and he wasn’t very slim; but thanks be to God he lost 50 pounds.

Tim really wasn’t as light as a feather,
he was known to trip over his own two feet.

And was always available when time to eat,
Down the stairs he would come, ready for a meal.

And this was the problem, because sad to say, sometimes he would steal.
And this is where the famous game, that children have played for decades, came about - Who stole the Cookie from the Cookie Jar
