kaylynn I pray that if you do meet up with your estranged husband that it will go well and that in time you will heal from all this hurt.I pray Our Lord will guide you and protect you and comfort you.You are so brave and show such great faith…

Lord please grant strength to kaylynn and most especially if she meets up with her estranged husband.It is the most difficult time for her and so painful, please surround her in Your love that she may have the strength and courage to heal from this emotional pain in time.Thankyou Lord for hearing our prayers Amen

tbcrawford: Thank you for your personal thoughts and prayers. I do not have children,
except two Australian dogs. The terrier got very sick yesterday, and they have narrowed
it to two things: fungal pneumonia or a tumor in the lungs. I have to take him to a
emergency clinic later today for an ultrasound… I was hoping that if my husband pursued
the divorce - the dogs and I could move to a place with a backyard. Now, on the precipice
of All Saints and All Souls everything is unclear. I pray, Almightly God, you give me clarity to see what is ahead… I can face anything because I trust your goodness and mercy always. Thank you for the friends on these Forums.

Kaylynn: I am so sorry that you are enduring this. I am experiencing a similar situation after almost 27 years of marriage. It is an awful thing to experience. My heart goes out to you. I am praying for you.

St. Helen (249-329) found the True Cross in Jerusalem and, for many centuries, devotion to St. Helen has been linked to devotion to the Holy Cross. It would be hard to find a painting, statue or holy card of her that does not depict her embracing the cross.

But there is another, sadder facet of Helen’s life. After 22 years of marriage, Helen’s husband, Constantius, divorced her in order to make a politically advantageous marriage with a young woman who was a member of Rome’s imperial family.

Clearly, St. Helen would be a natural choice as patron of divorced and divorcing people, so why has this devotion to her arisen only recently? For most of the 1,700 years since Helen’s death, divorce was rare, even among non-Catholics. Among Catholics it was almost unthinkable. Today, unfortunately, when divorce has become commonplace, St. Helen is offered to unhappy spouses as a heavenly patron who can truly sympathize with their anguish

Prayer to St. Helen:

Holy and blessed Saint Helen,

with the anguish and devotion with which You sought the Cross of Christ,

I plead that You give me God’s grace to suffer in patience the labours of this life,

so that through them and through your intercession and protections,

I will be able to seek and carry the Cross, which God has placed on me,

so that I can serve Him in this life and enjoy His Glory ever after. Amen

I will be praying this prayer for you and for myself. Interestingly, my son has chosen St. Constantine as his patron saint. He will be confirmed in December.

Dear Keran, What beautiful thoughts you send me! I will print and keep the prayer,
truly. Last night, my Australian terrier, a beautiful lad, died of pneumonia in his sleep.
I kept a vigil through the night until 2:00 a.m. His breathing had quieted and we were
so close to getting an ultrasound on him todayl

Instead, at 6:00 am I drove a 1/2 hr. to the emergency vet for his cremation. The
little guy all wrapped & swaddled. I have no children; just two dogs. I am so
fragmented and broken-hearted. I would love to stay in touch with you. I want to begin
again - each step seems like one forward but three backward since August. I pray all
day and constantly thru the night. I am very active in many Bereavement Ministry in my
parish for a long time - I truly have seen loss. All my love and best wishes. kaylynn
 
My Lord and God, I fully give thanks and praise for the wonderful people on this
Prayer Request thread. They have reached out to me so extensively and joyfully. I
especially appreciate those that sent some private thoughts on the death of my dog last
evening. I am in constant awe of the generosity of people even as they go thru some
insufferable ordeals of their own. We are passing though this life so quickly, and God has
so many answers, consolation and insurmountable joy for us in the next. Saint Faustina,
help us to foster the mercy and goodness of God. Know that I will not forget your goodness
to me ever, my new friends.

little "Tee: the terrier took very sick the night before last, & left me in the middle of the
night. I like to think that St. Francis took him by the paw and lifted him into heaven.
So many tribulations in this world, but so many answers in the New World ahead. Thank

Theresa, I really could use your prayers again today I (if it isn’t too much to ask again
and again). Some unpleasantness happened again yesterday, and I must re-focus and
start all over again. It seems that every decision I make is a bad one. Even my lawyer
tells me I must not be so naieve and trusting. I will be thinking of you and sending my
