I will pray for the person who committed this heinous act. This does not help the pro-life cause very much. It just fits into our new president calling pro-lifers dangerous.

Exactly. Vigilante justice and execution without trial are contrary to Church teaching. It doesn’t matter that the doctor was involved in mass murder via abortion. The acts of this shooter will hurt the pro-life cause.

I pray for the doctor and his murderer.

What kind of world are we living in anyway? 😦

Yeah, it’s no wonder they’re calling us pro-lifers terrorists. :sad_yes:

Death is the sting of sin. And I find it ironic that a murderer was murdered. Hopefully God will use this evil to save abortionists from murdering unborn children.

Whilst we never condone murder we are reminded that Christ himself said "Omnes enim, qui accéperint gládium, gládio períbunt" Mt26:52 *all that take the sword shall perish with the sword. *

We pray for the salvation of all involved.

Exactly. The current administration has been itching to find a reason to label pro-lifers as dangerous terrorists, and this vigilante shooter has just handed them one on a silver platter. 😦

Sincere prayers going up for the soul of this doctor, for his killer, and for the pro-life movement.

May the Lord be merciful to one who was not able to show mercy on the most innocent and helpless of all.

BTW To pray for him is very difficult, may the Lord give me the grace and strength to do so.

It won’t matter that the pro-life cause does not ever favor violence. It does play into the hands of the enemy. I hope they can find his killer and bring him/her to justice. This is a terrible development.

Operation Rescue in Wichita was quick to condemn the killing. The anti-abortion organization has been one of the fiercest critics of Tiller’s late-term abortions.

“We are shocked at this morning’s disturbing news that Mr. Tiller was gunned down,” said Troy Newman, the group’s president. “Operation Rescue has worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see him brought to justice. We denounce vigilantism and the cowardly act that took place this morning. We pray for Mr. Tiller’s family that they will find comfort and healing that can only be found in Jesus Christ.”

Sounds to me more like God sent one of his “Special” messengers to call the “good” Doctor home for a house call and some private consulations aka “Judgement” I Just hope the Doctor has a FIRE PROOF change of clothes ready just incase he needs to change them quickly after his house call in heaven.

Very sad development for the cause of life. Not to mention how it will affect the safety of those of us who peacefully pray at abortion sites. Just yesterday, a woman turned off the main road to confront us . Her anger was frightening.

But just behind us a woman had entered the clinic for an abortion. Her toddler was waiting outside playing in front of the office with another family member. Many times as we pray we see the post abortive women drive away doubled over in pain with tears streaming down their faces. If we’re able ,we tell them we love them and are ready and willing to give them resources for healing. What an absolute horror abortion is .

I pray for the doctor’s family , and for his soul. I pray for a peaceful end to abortion. :gopray:

This is very sad. May God have mercy on his soul. May God have mercy on us all.

I pray for the doctor’s family, for the unborn and for the church parishioners. Its terrible that this terroristic murder occurred in a sacred setting. I would much prefer a political solution to the political question as to the legality of abortion in America. On the question of abortion, I stand with the Magisterium, by the way.

"George Tiller, a Wichita doctor who was one of the few doctors in the nation to perform late-term abortions, was shot to death on Sunday as he attended church, city officials in Wichita said.

Dr. Tiller, who had performed abortions since the 1970s, had long been a lightning rod for controversy over the issue of abortion, particularly in Kansas, where abortion opponents regularly protested outside his clinic and sometimes his home and church. In 1993, he was shot in both arms by an abortion opponent but recovered.

He had also been the subject of many efforts at prosecution, including a citizen-initiated grand jury investigation. In the latest such effort, in March, Dr. Tiller was acquitted of charges that he had performed late-term abortions that violated state law. The shooting occurred at around 10 a.m. (Central time) at Reformation Lutheran Church on the city’s East Side, Dr. Tiller’s regular church."

And I think this is a black eye for the pro-life movement.

What goes around comes around. The guy has got to answer for many deaths.

Live by the sword, die by it.

This going to do great harm to the pro-life movement. By tomorrow you will be seeing somber faced news anchors saying this murder was prompted by pro-life adherents opposotion top Kathleen Sebelius because of her connections with Tiller.

May God have mercy on his soul.

May God receive him with mercy, and may his killer be brought to justice.

Yes, Beau Ouiville, this is likely to hurt the pro-life movement. 😦

No crime is worth to jeopardize one’s soul.
No justification for a crime!
The victim as well his killer(s) are victims of their passions.
We all know, of course, who’s behind all of this.
I’m in my way to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for both souls!!:o

I hope someone else accompany me.
