Praying for:
  1. the soul of George Tiller
  2. his family and friends
  3. the soul of the shooter
  4. the unborn
  5. the pro-life movement
Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

He already targeted those who disagree with his views as terrorists anyway. Homeland Security anyone?
hence the reason i think this was a setup. welcome to the reich dissenters not welcome.

As a Priest For Life volunteer, I’m in close contact with Fr. Pavone, President of the Organization “Against abortion.” I just received a letter with the following introduction.

Dear Friend,

As I was preparing to send you my regular column, I got the news this morning that abortionist George Tiller was killed today in Wichita, KS.

Following is the statement I released this morning to the media:
**“I am saddened to hear of the killing of George Tiller this morning. At this point, we do not know the motives of this act, or who is behind it, whether an angry post-abortive man or woman, or a misguided activist, or an enemy within the abortion industry, or a political enemy frustrated with the way Tiller has escaped prosecution. We should not jump to conclusions or rush to judgment.
“But whatever the motives, we at Priests for Life continue to insist on a culture in which violence is never seen as the solution to any problem. Every life has to be protected, without regard to their age or views or actions.”**
I asked him why he’s not happy with the killing of an abortionist.
Why he said that every life needs to be protected?
Is he not a liberal?
Never to wish harm, but to forgive a murderer?
I agree: I’ll die as I lived, fair enough

And it starts…

Purview the comments about domestic terrorists.

Of course, the story about the clinic in Flordia where a baby born alive was murdered by an unlicensed abortion provider escapes the attention of the media.

But this, have no doubt, will be the top story for days if not weeks.
And we will never get the truth about the shooter. The Ministry of Propaganda will make him out as a pro-life activist no matter what. We are going to have to get the truth from the underground media.

George Tiller was an evil man who finally got what was coming to him, however I would have preferred he died of a natural cause rather than be brutally murdered.

God will judge George Tiller as he sees fit, and it is God’s decision alone on whether or not Mr. Tiller is going to be eating fire for an eternity.

The only bad news about this is how much damage has been done to the pro-life movement.

Pray for the killer, and pray for God’s mercy of Mr. Tiller’s soul, because he is going to need it.

Sounds to me more like God sent one of his “Special” messengers to call the “good” Doctor home for a house call and some private consulations aka “Judgement” I Just hope the Doctor has a FIRE PROOF change of clothes ready just incase he needs to change them quickly after his house call in heaven.
So the killer was a “messenger of God” huh?

Totally inappropriate.

The gunman here is a murderer with everything it implies.
Yes, this was a terrible act and I hope that pro-life activism does not get affected in a negative way this time.

Here is Fr. Pavone’s statement:
Statement on the Killing of George Tiller

Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, issued the following statement upon hearing this morning of the killing of abortionist George Tiller:

A horrible, senseless act.

He’s now being portayed in the media as a selfless martyr who bravely risked his life to provide healthcare for women.

Prayers for his family, and prayers for his soul.

According to the Catechism, the four conditions for a just war are 1) “the damage inflicted by the aggressor on the nation or community of nations must be lasting, grave, and certain”; 2) “all other means of putting an end to it must have been shown to be impractical or ineffective”; 3) “there must be serious prospects of success”; and 4) “the use of arms must not produce evils and disorders graver than the evil to be eliminated” (CCC 2309).

I am formulating my opinion based on the above. Anybody know why this killing isn’t justified?

Please consider:

This is all the more reason to be involved in a positive way in the pro-life movement.

I don’t think murdering our fellow citizens is going to fall under the rubrics of just war. Unless, of course, you are advocating civil war.

And I think 2 had not yet been exhausted. After all, Kansas could have tried yet again to come up with an appeals-proof law and without Gov. Sebellius around, it might not have been vetoed.

3 is certainly not met. If anything this hurts the anti-abortion side of the debate.

4 is up in the air. If the killing was the result of a zealous anti-abortion person, I think it will provoke a backlash.

It’s not given to me to judge the state of the man’s soul. Nor do I condone murder.

Nevertheless, in purely human terms, he was a despicable man without whom the world is better off.

It may well be that the abortion forces will make a martyr of Tiller and blame prolifers, etc, etc, etc. But their campaign for the Culture of Death and against the Culture of Life was relentless anyway.
