Thanks for this. No I hadn’t heard. Anything that paints abortion in a bad light just isn’t published in Ireland any more.😦

The jury may soon hear from a string of former employees, whose harrowing, low-paid work led them to face criminal charges of their own.

In opening statements, Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore said they were nearly as “desperate” as the women seeking late-term abortions. Three have pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, and potentially face 20 to 40 years in prison.

The two other “doctors” on Gosnell’s staff were medical school graduates without Pennsylvania licenses, one of whom, Steven Massof of Pittsburgh, worked for just a few hundred dollars a week, authorities said.

An** employee giving anesthesia was a sixth-grade dropout, while a 15-year-old high school student helped in the surgical and recovery rooms**, Pescatore said. That girl’s mother also worked at the clinic, and was charged, among other things, with corruption of a minor.

Adrienne Moton has been the only worker to testify so far. Moton, a family friend, had moved in with the Gosnells in high school, then worked at the clinic from 2005 to 2008. She earned $8 to $10 an hour.

But she could make $120 on a busy Saturday, when Gosnell performed what he called “second trimester” cases and gave staff $20 per patient. Prosecutors charge that some of those procedures were illegal, third-term abortions.

Moton, 35, has been in prison since the indictment two years ago, and awaits sentencing for third-degree murder.

“I kept doing whatever I was told,” she told the jury last week.

That included cutting the necks of at least 10 babies after they were born. Gosnell told her it was standard procedure, she said.

I think what he did is no different than what Tiller and Carhart do. What separates them from him is a few inches literally. We’ve degenerated to a culture of infanticide.

Obama refused to vote to protect the life of a baby that survives an abortion even after the baby is born. So it should be no surprise that the culture is following the example of America’s leader.

Why would he protect their life? He’s already said he would have no problem killing his own grandchildren.

Gosnell reporter notes inconsistency in abortion rhetoric
Having ended its first week, earlier chapters of the [abortionist **Kermit Gosnell
] trial were much more charged. Those included gruesome and revolting descriptions of dead babies – oh, excuse me, I mean fetuses, not babies, not even the one that was seven months along [gestational age depicted in image, right] who could have walked Gosnell to the bus, he reportedly joked.
It’s nice to have fun on the job.

Jurors nearly sobbed when they learned that Gosnell reportedly cut the spinal cords of dozens of fetuses and babies, which means the state believes at least some survived birth, allowing Gosnell to be charged with murder.
It’s amazing that what separates human from nonhuman, baby from fetus, is the thickness of the wall of the mother’s belly.

Uh-oh. This is heading where maybe it shouldn’t.

When speaking at Planned Parenthood, Obama said he didn’t want his daughters to be “punished” with a child that they didn’t plan on having. The popularization of the contraception pill is why people are now shocked when they find out they are pregnant after sex. The popularization of the pill was the beginning of many of our current social ills.

Do you have a source for this statement?

Obama himself.

Reviving is a level of medicine far above what Gosnell’s specialty was.

Given the diminished capacities of a sleeping person … might not one philosophically ask (as is done in the case of the unborn) " … is such really a person?"

And in a less controversial take (playing Devil’s advocate and defending Gosnell – as inappropriate as that might be to my mind):

“D**n it JIM! I’m a DOCTOR# … not a WAKE up service!”

- Abortionists aren’t really doctors, they just play one in their clinics. (Doctors treat and heal people and** “first … do no harm.”)** < “first do no harm” is a phrase from the traditional Hippocratic Oath, once taken by all doctors.
