You won’t find them at the water cooler, but you will find them on Facebook. Search for satanism or theistic satanism or Diane Vera (she’s got a lot of people who buy into her “theology”, though I shudder to call it theology, because it’s not really). There are numerous groups. All are “invite only”, but they’ll gladly invite you on so they can drill you.I am interested. I want to know more about the “enemy” and the tactics, and what better way to do that, than to hang around them at the water cooler?
It used to be email chains, then yahoo/google groups, now it’s social networking.
Make a bogus facebook account then, join and read. I’m sorry to say you’ll be pretty disappointed though. After all, if satan’s people can infiltrate our church, why can’t I infiltrate theirs? I’d like to go in stealth, or at least read what they’re saying. Please feel free to PM me with the information.
The point is that yes, there are small “congregations” of satanists. They do say they have “churches”, there has been a movement for as long as I remember to “unite” but it won’t happen. Can you imagine all 30-thousand+ non-denomination/protestant churches, who’s members all decide what they believe, just suddenly making one big church? That’s what satanism is, it’s fragmented, and small. Satanists are horribly disorganized and generally relativistic. That raises the question of just how organized satan’s churches are. If we look at Catholicism, we have bitter debates every hour about what Catholics think and do and say, among Catholics who were raised in different areas.
Again, consider how easy you’d be able to pick out someone who spoke authoritively about Catholicism who really doesn’t know anything about it. There are innumerable variations of Satanism. But they’re all highly relativistic, and almost entirely lack any cohesive, coherent theology of any sort. They can’t defend their beliefs, the only thing that unites most of them is the desire to do -what they want- with or without any regard for another person. When I was reading your questions, I didn’t get the “obviousness” you see. Unless satan is one heck of a lot more organized with his churches than God, then the variations from one section to another seem like they would make it hard to press such an assertion.
I deal with this when it comes to my mother actually. You can tell by looking back at the tradition of the church, how these things developed, and whether there has been sanctioned developments over this generation. Look to the history and the teach authority of the church. For Catholicism this is easy. For satanism there is no long history for one group, because they are all new every generation. For example: One person says, “when I was Catholic, we all knelt for Communion and we’d get whacked if we weren’t kneeling perfectly straight, hands folded, eyes forward and slightly lowered.” A younger person would say, “what? They do nothing of the sort. The only time we EVER kneel is when we are in our pews.”
Good question. They apply at least over the last couple of decades and specifically America. I bet in Africa, somewhere in a third world country somewhere on that continent, only recently introduced to Christianity, probably has far more grotesque representations of specifically satanic worship. So what about your observations are sufficiently universal that they appear to you as if they apply? That’s what the rest of us aren’t getting. Just a bunch of fanstastic claims and disclaimers.
There has been no indication, at least to me, that some of the people here are accepting with skeptisim this man’s claims. -That- seems reasonable. If I had seen that I likely wouldn’t have weighed in at all. It’s what appeared to be the sudden jump on the bandwagon, “This guy must be authentic!” mentality that I saw that raised my hackles.I don’t believe everything I hear, but I do tentatively “accept” (with a yellow flag) that these things haven’t been verified.
The engineer in me was screaming.
Here in America? Over in the UK? As a corporate, organized action? Yes it’s false. So are you claiming that there are not satanists who have rituals in which there is a doctor who performs an abortion, and then the dead baby’s body and blood are divided and shared? Yes that is pretty sensational, but is it false?
