Is that position an article of faith?
It is not a sin to realize that allah is not the God of Israel. I hear this argument time and again that someone says we are supposed to believe in islam’s god is the One True God and that is just nonsense.

I won’t go against the 1st Commandment - no matter who tells me to do so.

There was a time in ancient Egypt when they worshiped the sun god Ra. They believe him to be the one true god. Would you conclude that they worshiped the same God we do?
a better position would be to say they worship the one God they do not know.

Perhaps a better question would be “Can anyone abuse humanity more than Mohammad did?”

Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea."

A most appropriate question would be “Has anyone in the history of humanity been abused as much as Muhammad (s)?”
  • He was abused by his people when he asked them to worship the One God instead of the idols.
  • He was abused by many of his companions
  • He was abused by some his wives who plotted against him then killed him by poison
  • He was abused by his followers who killed his only daughter, his nephew, poisoned his 1st grandson and killed the 2nd, they killed his great grand children including a 6 month old boy
  • He was abused by the hadith forgers who slandered him
  • He was abused by the khalifs and sultans who claimed to be his representatives while spreading corruption and opression
  • He is abused today by those that claim to be his followers but really follow in the footsteps of the khalifs
  • He is abused by the non-muslims who paint him an evil man based on the lies of the hadith forgers.
But Muhammad (s) knew all of this would happen and so he said “Hussain is from me and I am from Hussain”. The religion had died and if it wasn’t for Hussain’s (as) sacrifice it would have been lost forever. The true uncorrupted Islam can only be realized by learning it from Muhammad’s (s) family, through the descendants of Hussein (as)

I assume you are Shia?

I thought Shia accecpted the Hadith?

There was a time in ancient Egypt when they worshiped the sun god Ra. They believe him to be the one true god. Would you conclude that they worshiped the same God we do?
yes i believe so. they were worshipping God as best they could at the time. our flawed understanding and perceptions of God does not alter God in any way.

they had not heard the Word yet and as imperfectly as these people thought they knew what God wanted, they were correct in worshipping One God. the sun gave life so at least they got something right about the Father. 🙂 after Christ came and set the record straight so to speak, if these people had continued to worship ra, then they would knowingly be worshipping a false god that differed from the one true God. before God came to the Jews, i would even say the pagans were attempting to worship the one true God, but they were just incorrect in how they were doing it. they knew enough to worship something greater than themselves, but got stuck on worshipping God’s art pieces instead of God himself.

would you say that a child that believes in God, yet thinks he sits up in the clouds and hurls lightning bolts at sinners is worshipping a false god?

from our Catechism:

839 "Those who have not yet received the Gospel are related to the People of God in various ways."325
The relationship of the Church with the Jewish People. When she delves into her own mystery, the Church, the People of God in the New Covenant, discovers her link with the Jewish People,326 "the first to hear the Word of God."327 The Jewish faith, unlike other non-Christian religions, is already a response to God’s revelation in the Old Covenant. To the Jews “belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ”,328 "for the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable."329

840 and when one considers the future, God’s People of the Old Covenant and the new People of God tend towards similar goals: expectation of the coming (or the return) of the Messiah. But one awaits the return of the Messiah who died and rose from the dead and is recognized as Lord and Son of God; the other awaits the coming of a Messiah, whose features remain hidden till the end of time; and the latter waiting is accompanied by the drama of not knowing or of misunderstanding Christ Jesus.

841 The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day."330

842 The Church’s bond with non-Christian religions is in the first place the common origin and end of the human race:

All nations form but one community. This is so because all stem from the one stock which God created to people the entire earth, and also because all share a common destiny, namely God. His providence, evident goodness, and saving designs extend to all against the day when the elect are gathered together in the holy city. . .331

843 The Catholic Church recognizes in other religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved. Thus, the Church considers all goodness and truth found in these religions as "a preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life."332

844 In their religious behavior, however, men also display the limits and errors that disfigure the image of God in them:

Very often, deceived by the Evil One, men have become vain in their reasonings, and have exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and served the creature rather than the Creator. Or else, living and dying in this world without God, they are exposed to ultimate despair.333

the part that i underlined though is what i think happened with the islamic faith.

I assume you are Shia?

I thought Shia accepted the Hadith?
yes, we accept the hadiths with two caveats.
  1. the Hadiths must not contradict anything in the Quran.
  2. the narrators must be friendly to the progeny of the prophet.

WhO IS MUHAMMAD???WHERE IS HE MENTIONEnD IN THE BIBLE?
Of course he is:

2 Cor 11
12 I will go on acting as I do at present, to cut the ground from under the feet of those who are looking for a chance to be proved my equals in grounds for boasting.
13 These people are counterfeit apostles, dishonest workers disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.
14 There is nothing astonishing in this; even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

Also, these are warnings about false prophets and when you read them, muhammad has all the signs fitting a false prophet.

Mat 7
15 'Beware of false prophets who come to you disguised as sheep but underneath are ravenous wolves.
16 You will be able to tell them by their fruits. Can people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
17 In the same way, a sound tree produces good fruit but a rotten tree bad fruit.
18 A sound tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor a rotten tree bear good fruit.
19 Any tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown on the fire.
20 I repeat, you will be able to tell them by their fruits.

Mat 24
4 And Jesus answered them, 'Take care that no one deceives you,
5 because many will come using my name and saying, “I am the Christ,” and they will deceive many.
11 Many false prophets will arise; they will deceive many,
12 and with the increase of lawlessness, love in most people will grow cold;
13 but anyone who stands firm to the end will be saved.

2 Peter
1 As there were false prophets in the past history of our people, so you too will have your false teachers, who will insinuate their own disruptive views and, by disowning the Lord who bought them freedom, will bring upon themselves speedy destruction.
2 Many will copy their debauched behaviour, and the Way of Truth will be brought into disrepute on their account.
3 In their greed they will try to make a profit out of you with untrue tales. But the judgement made upon them long ago is not idle, and the destruction awaiting them is for ever on the watch.

1 John 4
1 My dear friends, not every spirit is to be trusted, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets are at large in the world.
2 This is the proof of the spirit of God: any spirit which acknowledges Jesus Christ, come in human nature, is from God,
3 and no spirit which fails to acknowledge Jesus is from God; it is the spirit of Antichrist, whose coming you have heard of; he is already at large in the world.

In the old Testament God also warned us several times to not bow down to the moon, sun, stars, etc.
  • The Old Testament constantly rebuked the worship of the Moon-god
    • Deut. 4:19 And when you look up to the heavens and behold the sun or the moon or any star among the heavenly hosts, do not be led astray into adoring them and serving hem. These the Lord, your God has let fall to the lot of all other nations under the heavens.
    • Deut. 17:3 …by serving other gods, or by worshiping the sun or the moon or any of he host of the sky, against my command.
This is where Muhammad got his Allah from - the moon god of his pagan religion. He took this Allah and made it to what the Muslims worship.

I have seen some Sunni argue that as Muhammad’s live is the perfect mannifestation of man livein in accords with Allah’s will an authentic Hadith which seems to contradict the Qur’an or strain what its meaning seems to be is actally an abbrogation or interpretation of that passage. Whould the Shia accecpt this?

Algabriel, that is very good. We are also not allowed to bow down before any man or sun or moon. We are spiritual descendents of Abraham and Abraham never bowed down in front of any idols, or star or moon or Sun
  • The Old Testament constantly rebuked the worship of the Moon-god
    • Deut. 4:19 And when you look up to the heavens and behold the sun or the moon or any star among the heavenly hosts, do not be led astray into adoring them and serving hem. These the Lord, your God has let fall to the lot of all other nations under the heavens.

.

That is true. We believe it and we follow the same commands.
This is where Muhammad got his Allah from - the moon god of his pagan religion. He took this Allah and made it to what the Muslims worship.
**Here you are wrong. You have not studied the Quran. Muhammad did not get any God from some one. He used to pray to the one God only, in privacy, for a very long time, in a cave until one day, Allah spoke to him care of an angel, the arch Angel Gabriel. The angel gave Muhammad a message. After that all his life was spent in fighting the pagans.

Do you believe that Muhammad will take a God from the pagans and then start a serious fight against the pagans for the rest of his life.

If you are interested then I will tell you who are venerating (respecting) the Sun God and The Mon (Moon) God today.**

yes, we accept the hadiths with two caveats.
  1. the Hadiths must not contradict anything in the Quran.
  2. the narrators must be friendly to the progeny of the prophet.
** It is true that:
  1. the Hadith should not be against the express meaning of the Quran, i.e. whole Quran.
  2. The Hadith should not be against the practice (Sunnah) of the holy prophet.
  3. The Hadith should not be against any well known well accepted authentic hadith.
It is true that the narrator should not be an enemy of the ahle bait and should not be an enemy of the companions (sahabah) of the prophet. The narrator should not be against the wives (families) of the prophet Muhammad.

There should be no order to make anything Halaal or Haraam in the hadith if it is not mentioned in the Quran. There should be no matter of life and death (Such as death sentence, stoning to death etc.) in the Hadith only which is not mentioned / supportd in the Quran.

The Matter of Haraam and Halaal and life and death have to be proved by the Quran. Not by the Hadith only. Any such Hadith which is not supported by the Quran will also be rejected.**

how many times do we have to mention that mo is not in the bible!
yes im currently in egypt 😉

In the name of Allah , Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Salaam/peace

  • He was abused by some his wives who plotted against him then killed him by poison
