Why do you separate Christ from His church?
Why do you define the church in an unbiblical way? The church is the body of Christ consisting of all who have been united to Christ by faith. The body of Christ goes beyond Roman Catholic Christians in your view, right? Christians are united to the person of Jesus Christ and not to the Roman Catholic Church. Do you see the biblical difference? Jesus is the head of the church and not your Pope. The Holy Spirit is the true vicar here on earth. This is not written to fight you, but to challenge your exclusive Roman Catholic ideas.

i guess then every body should just stay home sunday and not go to a church(,wether it is His church or not)🤷 if as you say the Holy Spirit is indeed the vicar of Christ somebody is not doing their job in keeping the peolpe inline.
the unity of our separted brethren has not only to do with faith but with baptism,it is thorugh the waters of baptism that one become an adopted child of God…or as St.Paul puts it THE BATH OF REGENERATION.
Are you underdog one with me in all things?

What are you talking about? Non-catholic Christians assemble on Sunday and even Saturday together with other believers with bishops, and elders, and even partake in communion every Sunday (some churches). Non-catholic Christans also are baptized too.

Why do you define the church in an unbiblical way?
Why do you define the bible as separate from the Church, and deny the authority of the Apostles that allowed the establishment of the canon?

How so? I give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Whosoever’s sins you remit will be remitted, and whosoever’s sins you forgive will be forgiven. Christ left a Church that produced a Bible in cooperation with the Holy Spirit. It is YOUR church that is separate from the first one that Christ left. Christ did not write a book. That was Mohammad who wrote the book.

Christians are united in Christ, He is the head, and the Church is the body, and that body is preserved in the Roman Catholic Church.

Really? The Bible defines church as “only invisible?” Were the apostles whom Christ gave the command to “feed my sheep” invisible?

The Body of Christ, is simply, His Church. Believers may be either fully united to His body, or only partially united, as our separated protestant brothers and sisters
Christians are united to the person of Jesus Christ and not to the Roman Catholic Church

Christ and His church are one:) Just as a bride and bridegroom are one.
.
Do you see the biblical difference? Jesus is the head of the church and not your Pope.
You’re right… Jesus is the head of the Church! The pope is His servant, commanded to hold the keys to the kingdom until His return in glory:) “Feed my sheep.” He didn’t say “feed YOUR sheep…” He said “Feed MY sheep.” He didn’t call us Peter’s sheep, but His…tended to by Peter, our shepherd…But Christ is the ultimate, Good shepherd.

The Holy Spirit is the true vicar here on earth.
The Holy Spirit is working THROUGH people…He can work through fallible people for His infallible purposes and truth:)

This is not written to fight you, but to challenge your exclusive Roman Catholic ideas.
My ideas are not exclusive… They are the truth. That truth is offered through the broken and bleeding body of our precious Lord, Jesus Christ.

What are you talking about? Non-catholic Christians assemble on Sunday and even Saturday together with other believers with bishops, and elders, and even partake in communion every Sunday (some churches). Non-catholic Christans also are baptized too.
The point was that the Holy Spirit has no means to act without bodies and buildings that exist here on earth. The Holy Spirit is not the vicar on earth because the vicar has to have hands to do the will will of God. The Church is the Holy Spirit’s body on earth- His hands.

You can make all the exclusive claims that you want, claim that the Roman Catholic Church has the fullness of truth. But in reality, they are only claims that are not true.

You mean they are not true in your opinion:)

You can accuse the Church of all you like…but the fact remains all you have given us is opinion, presumption, fallible interpretations and fallible theology.

You have gone full circle to prove my point from the first thread that I started called “Christ is everything”
I believe Jesus Christ is everything for the Christian. All of the unsearchable riches are found in Christ. All of the promises are yes in Christ. I am confused why the Catholic Church is so important to Catholics when Christ is everything to the Christian. Do you want to help me understand why the Catholic Church is so important to Catholics when our life is hidden in Christ?

Ashley, you and many other sincere Roman Catholic Christians will continue to proclaim the Roman Catholic Church as mankind’s hope instead of pointing to the person of Jesus Christ as mankind’s only hope. You see, Paul was right saying that while I was with you to the Church in Corinth, that Paul only wanted to know only Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Authentic Christianity is proclaiming Jesus Christ and Him crucified for all those who believe as their hope. There is a major difference sister. The Roman Catholic Church is not the savior who came 2,000 years ago.

And around and around we go....
You are still separating Christ from His church.

The mission of the Church IS to proclaim Christ cruciifed, which is what the Catholic Church has done throughout all of Christian history!

“When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim your death Lord Jesus!” Is the central focus of EVERY. mass! 🙂
We proclaim Jesus through His church..and we point people to the Church, because that is where He is!

Underdog has distorted beliefs about what Catholics actually believe, and he will not admit that he is wrong about what Catholics believe. Here, he once again insists that Ashley believes the RCC, (which to him means “man-made institution” ) is our savior, rather than Christ. He cannot fathom that the Church contains Christ and points to Christ and that a true understanding of Catholicism never deviates from proclaiming Christ, not institutions.

He offers no evidence that Catholics trust “institutions” rather that Christ, he just assumes that is true because someone told him it was true.

In reality, I have found that the Protestant error that Underdog espouses is a fundamental inability to understand the *union of Spirit in flesh. * That blindness causes him to not be able to recognize that if it is true that we trust in an institution and not Christ, then the same could be said of any organized religion. The existence of an organized religion does not reveal what people who are part of that religion actually believe, yet underdog assumes to be able to see into hearts. The RCC is the vessel for the Holy Spirit and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. It is how Christ has hands here on earth.

That blindness concerning the union of the spirit and the flesh also causes him to be unable to see how we are saved by responding to grace, which through faith produces good works.

The blindness also is fundamental to his denial of the Immaculate Conception and the role of our mother.

He is arguing with shadows. We do not believe what he insists we believe, and he refuses to see it.

Is it divine providence that we are discussing these things. I have to mail my work, but Lord willing, we will continue later today.

i am telling you that it is through baptism that you are made part of the bride of Christ(his Church)it is baptism that puts a person in union with Christ.for it is through baptism that one is crcified, buried and reserected through Him…with Him ,in the unity of the Holy Spirit…
St.Paul addressing the Corintians says we are to be of one mind(doctrine)…you are not of one mind with me so you are not one with me thus you are not completely one in the body of Christ.
Christ said if you have a disputer with your brother where did He say to take it to?THE CHURCH…in your idealogy all churches are the same body of Christ .
say i were to have a dispute with you over communion…which church are we supposed to take it too???i am not the type that is going to travel to the countless churches out there cause by the time we would get that done we would be passed on for a long time…
there has to be a church that has the authority to settle our dispute,if there isn’t then to claim that,(no one church has exclusive claim to authority) is to call Christ a liar.

Another sermon about the Roman Catholic Church instead of pointing each other to Jesus Christ. God is not a religious institution my friends. The Roman Catholic Church is not the One True Church. Jesus Christ purchased the one true church with His blood. Proclaim Jesus Christ and Him crucified to Christians and non-Christians alike!

There you go…seperating Christ from His church again.

The one true church is universal which expands way beyond the doors of the Roman Catholic Church.

I think the heart of the matter is simply that you don't like the idea of one Church being the church founded by Christ Himself. And you ESPECIALLY don't like it if we attribute the word "Roman Catholic" to anything.
Where is this emotion stemming from? Where did you learn to oppose the Catholic Church so blindly?

How do you account for the documented apostolic succession dating back to Peter? And how do you account for the cannon of scripture being identified, and confirmed by the Catholic Church council?
