It is not and I am not mixing anything up. You are taking this out of context, which was two days ago. I was not referring to praying for the Jews. My post referred to the the responses to the ADL’s comment, not liturgical prayers. Specifically, statements like:

“I know you desire an atheistic left-wing dictatorship, but just SHUT UP already!”

“It is time we fight back and get in these people faces”

“Speak up, the time for namby pambyism based on ignorance of history and the scriptures is over!”

This is what I was referring to on the 26th when I made the post, not the liturgical prayer, of which I have no opinion one way or the other. I just believe when ever you deal with a group or an idividual with a persecution complex, even an understandable one, cranking up the rhetoric is probably not the best idea.

You are entirely too reasonable and sane for this forum.

I like to direct people to catholic.com when they have questions about the Catholic faith… but I’m starting to feel uneasy about it, since I’m actually afraid that they’ll look at these boards and run into crazy threads like this one.
