Afraid to ask these questions and no offenses meant!

Why hasn’t God performed any miracles on camera? We have billions of devices and not one single miracle is captured? Why are there no miracles like there were in the Bible? Why have no modern people had a limb grow back? Why doesn’t God ever appear to us directly? I understand the free will argument but it sounds like a free will of the gaps argument. Oh God doesn’t perform the same types of miracles anymore? Must be free will! Is it possible we are just looking for confirmation of what we believe? I’m sorry I really don’t mean anything offensively but instead of just ignoring my fears I’ve decided to see if anyone can help me face them.
 
Forgive my ignorance but I don’t believe the change happened in front of any video cameras correct?
 
I agree with this but say a limb grew back yes the cgi could be challenged but there would be an intensive study to figure out what happened. That information would be highly influential.

You believe because you can see me. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.
 
But why are there no irrefutable supernatural events? Like I would settle for something massive that is remotely similar to biblical events? Why the huge downgrade in terms of miracles? No parting of a Red Sea which historically appears to have not even happened?
 
I’m not asking him to perform parlor tricks but the church claims you can find go through reason alone even and it doesn’t seem doable. Miracles would be evidence of Gods existence shouldn’t some of them be unexplainable?
 
Lots of things are on camera. People often just say, fake, video altercation, shaky, bad quality, yadda yadda.

But a miracle like you mean is not something you can predict. You are not likely to have a camera running just when it happens. If so, it would be suspicious.
 
But he can’t even once give us what we want or need? Everyone says he is supernatural so he doesn’t effect the physical world in a way that leaves evidence yet his personhood of Jesus was supposed to be human and yet evidence of his resurrection extra biblically does simply not exist? I’m very sorry I know I’m being a bother and I’m not trying to be.
 
Well, God doesn’t do parlor tricks, which is what more non-believers would call it.

Realistically you aren’t going to find any miracle that can be edited to look that way. I understand your looking for something to cling onto, I respect that. I’ve done my share of turning over rocks to find angels and demons. I even looked into the flat earth thing for a bit pondering if it was true and if so that be a huge proof of a creator!

Or evidence we live on the inside of a larger planet… Didn’t pan out as you imagine. Lunar footage kinda blew a hole in that.

Ultimately you have to find peace that you don’t know or will never know.

But here is something to consider, every saint that saw irrefutable proof of God ended up being martyred. Its like they were being tested that since they knew they had to prove they were willing to die for it.

There maybe a few exceptions but by and large the bigger the vision the harder the death.

I’m not Catholic myself, I used to be and I’m not even sure I believe in God. But I do know one thing, if He is truly fair and just He’ll give me a fair shot to come round and see in my own way. That will ultimately have to be enough.

I’m just commenting to say don’t be afraid to ask questions. You may get an answer, you may not, but no one is ever harmed by your questions.

I often don’t have the answer, which is why you don’t see me respond very often. But I do read your posts and am praying for you.

One thing I’ve learned though, is that even miracles don’t solve doubt. Even the Israelites who witnessed the plagues, the pillar of fire, and the parting of the Red Sea were prepared to worship a golden calf in the desert. Jesus rose from the dead, and people refused to believe. The sun danced in the sky, and they call it mass hysteria.

In the end, faith comes as a grace from God. May the dear Lord bless you with this grace, that you may know Him and be at peace.
 
This is exactly true I’m not trying to be difficult I just don’t for some reason believe and I need something to swing the balance. I can’t find anything at all like everyone links the philosophical proofs but those are based on assumptions and reasoning only no evidence no material fact and it’s just as likely to come up with an argument that supersedes physical evidence so it can’t be disproved. At the same time I want to believe and I am either stupid or ignorant cause I can’t figure this out.
 
I don’t think ANY of the Old Testament divine interventions happened the way Cecil B. deMille pictured them. There are lots of natural explanations for things like the Plagues of Egypt - which doesn’t mean that God wasn’t behind them, but remember that these stories existed as oral tradition for centuries before they were written down. In the rear view mirror, time gets compressed and things can be made more dramatic than they actually were. And besides, I thing God’s greatest miracles happen in the human heart.
 
I really appreciate this and I’m sorry if anything I have said came off as offensive to everyone. I don’t mean them offensively!
 
Ok so if it’s like a game of telephone why is the rest of the Bible accountable? These things were written down 50-60 years after the fact and were handed down orally before that? Why is any of it reliable?
