Aliens have immortal soul

Even I and you do the best we can rather than good or worst. It is quite rational to do the best you can.

The universe is infinite is size. I have an argument for that.

Immortality of soul according to Aquinas follows from the fact that intellect which is faculty of soul is immaterial.
 
That’s like saying if I have ten bedrooms in my home there must be people living in them otherwise I wouldn’t have them.
 
Why would he not? Why would God, if he wants to give us eternal life, give us eternal life as incomplete beings. Even if we could “function” in heaven, we would not be fully human.

No, your bedroom is finite. There should exist aliens in it if it is was infinite.

I would simply say that there is only one argument for immortality of soul, mental is not physical. I however have issue with it.

Mental is physical in the brain. However with the immortal rational soul there is intellect and will that exist non physically and there is a communication through the imagination (phantasm per Aquinas).

By mental I mean a transcendental phenomena such as understanding. It doesn’t follow to say that soul is immortal because it is transcendental.

Why is this a problem? I understand that the existence of aliens changes a lot of things. However does aliens having an immortal soul change anything?

It has a few consequences. For example the Story of Adam and Eve and their fall into earth is threaten since there are intellectual beings which are not human. Where do they go after their death? What they are doing in fallen world?..

It would just mean that they’re not subject to Adam and Eve’s original sin. It doesn’t affect our fall or redemption. As for after death, we can’t know for certain, beyond their soul being immortal.

transcendental means “relating to a spiritual or nonphysical realm.”
 
An infinite universe is incomprehensible. Geometry would be utterly irrelevant. You yourself would be infinitely smaller than the universe you exist in. So would every other finite physical object.

No the universe is finite and it’s source is eternal rather than infinite.
 
Ahhhh! but the Universe is NOT infinite, It is actually quite finite and will end when all the energy within it has been expended.

GOD on the other hand could have created “aliens” but until they show here it is just speculation.

Also just for perspective’s sake, it was reported that some scientist now believe there IS a 9th planet. (From Mathematical and Astronomical data) however, also according to these scientists, it might take us 1000 years to find it in the Solar haystack.

Compare that to trying to find intelligent life in the Universe that compared to our Solar system is like a grain of sand in all the beaches of our planet. The Odds are so astronomically against us, I stand a better chance of winning the national lottery jackpot.

The universe is infinite. I have an argument for that: Suppose that universe is finite. This means that the universe is bounded by something, lets call this B1. B1 also is either finite or infinite. The sum of the universe and B1 is infinite if size of B1 is infinite and we face with infinite regress if size of B1 is finite.
