I am quite aware of the rules and have no need of lectures from the likes of you. I am not rude, I merely speak directly, with candor.

Apparently rude is in the eye of the beholder here. And you ARE rude - the way you speak to and about others. Do not pretend that it is “directly and with candor” at all times! A rose is a rose, as they say, and rude is rude - no matter what you try and disguise it as.

By the way, I would never send a Mormon to a Catholic to learn about the LDS church anymore than I would send a Catholic to a Mormon to learn bout the Catholic church. The vast majority here who are NOT LDS seem to think that they are an authority on the LDS church while the LDS members just sit back and watch you guys get angry and spout off whatever you think at the moment. Why is that? So far there has been nothing said by a Catholic that makes me either doubt my faith or want to look into theirs, That is sad.

Most of the posters here simply refer to substantiated Mormon doctrine, from Mormon sources, to help people understand what Mormons really teach. Many Mormons, missionaries included, don’t even have a good handle on what their church teaches or of the origins of Mormonism. For example, if you look at the Missionary Manual (you can find it on the web), you’ll see an illustration of Joseph Smith translating the plates. He is sitting across a table from the scribe, translating and dictating directly from the plates; which are bound loose-leaf in a book, right out in the open for all to see. Now, maybe you don’t know the whole story yourself, and many Mormons do not, but that sure isn’t the way he is really supposed to have done it.
