CHECK OUT THE STANDARD AMERICAN DIET SADToo much junk food I will accept. But who and by what standard do you claim Americans eat too much meat? And how do you know how much meat Christ ate? Seems you are making some very serious unfounded assumptions. Please cite sources for your assertions.
There is a good article on Jesus’ diet on the BBC News channel. Entitled:** Americans look to Jesus for diet **
Jesus’ diet was in accordance with the times in which he lived. He ate very little meat, maybe once a month. Meat was reserved for special occassions–it was not a daily dietary staple.
And of course meat was not raised or treated as it is today under our mass scale factory conditions. Meat has only become a staple of the modern diet with the advent of the technology of refrigeration, developed in our period of INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION.
Meat as it is consumed today did not exist in Jesus’ time. (They killed the fatted calf or the lamb for special occassions only–if they could afford to do so.) He probably didn’t even have a PICK N’ SAVE, and was not familiar with the golden arches.
