We all have our little crushes on celebrities. But this kind of takes it a little too far–in a kind of creepy way.

That’s not true. Its a lie by Ann Coulter. The Democrats are the party that rolls over at every opportunity, while the Republican Party makes up outrageous lies about Democratic politicans and war heroes, all the while screaming like little children that the Democrats are worse. That was for years the main criticism of the Democratic Party by Democrats; that the Democrats didn’t have the guts to stand up and go toe-to-toe with the Republicans when they tried to smear them. It still is, actually.

I especially enjoy reading the pro-life anti-abortion plank in the Democrat Party platform and how the president, Representative Pelosi and Senator Reid lead the rosary marches in front of abortion mills. And how open Obama, Pelosi and Reid are to pro-life advocates.

And then there is that slander about that Chappaquiddick “thing”.

And then there was some Democrat war hero with three purple hearts but who, miraculously, didn’t spend any time in hospital.

1. The state is a corporate entity, but since it is not a Christian corporate entity Christians have no business being involved in it. They should respect it as part of God’s providential order, but at the same time recognize its essentially pagan nature.

this is NOT a valid argument at all.

Christians have a moral obligation to be involved in politics - defined as Trying to Make the World (or Community) a Better Place…

Christians need to be MORE involved than they are in the business of running the state…

If they had been in the past maybe we wouldn’t have some of our more egregious laws (and lack thereof)…

“Oh but she’s fighting against abortion! She speaks her mind when we need it the most! She despises the liberal Godless people!” I know that’s what mindset many of you have. But people who bomb abortion clinics would also call themselves anti-abortion and thought they were fighting the good fight.

In a war, sometimes there are bombings… and those bombings that destroy only buildings are not amoral… After all human life is somewhat more to be valued than brick and wood… but then, maybe you aren’t so pro-life that you think we should be at “war” against the murderers of little children… (?)

we Americans are having UNChristianity forced on us… Roe v Wade, etc… so uh…

I tend to think it is better to have Christianity “forced” on people than unChristianity (Nazi’sim, Stalinism…)

many people can not see their own shortcomings… but in Purgatory (or Hell) one is forced to see them… OFten people see them but don’t think they are so bad… and therefore: No need to change… Other people need to change (or they need to change much more than i do). It’s human nature to think such things… Maybe that’s why Jesus said most people don’t find the narrow road to Heaven… They don’t want to change…

But the fact is that when I make a substantive challenge to your position, you claim “ad hominem” and refuse to respond. That is an accurate description of what you have done several times now.

Is the Episcopal Church and Lutheran Church immoral for giving legitimacy to same sex marriage and going further to ordain practicing homosexuals. I think it is and nothing you might say would change my mind on that. I make a point and you continually evade the original premise and then off you go with your self serving out of context issues and attack what might simply be an abrasive attitude in bringing to the fore her point.

I agree with the poster who stated we are at war and will suffer in the not to distant future if we do not answer the threats NOW. Ann is a voice of warning but you and other ‘progressives’ would want us to ignore the threats facing us.

Oh please do not think I use the word ‘progressive’ as a compliment. I definitely do not. It is a term now used by many of the liberal/socialist bent to hide their real nature and I only use it sarcastically as a connective term like liberal/socialist/progressive.

God gave me the eyes to see the truth and the devil influenced the ‘progressive’ to create a mirage to hide the lie.
