Hello 🙂 I can pop in with a weather update occasionally. All the talk where I live right now as its unusually cold all of a sudden but hopefully going back to milder Autumn weather next week.

Did someone mention the weather?

Ours is chilly and drizzly today.

Thanks for asking.

Warm and sunny here. Had lunch on the patio at the Terra Cafe. Although I just got word we are under a severe thunderstorm watch.

The thunderstorm has arrived. But I got to confession, dinner out, and back home before that happened.

Went to the Cathedral for mass in the afternoon, and had a beautiful bonus of being able to join in saying the rosary afterwards 🙂

I hope Bruised Reed comes around soon to commemorate it, since she was the one who heroically fought the most to save it from “1000 post” death.
I ended up starting a total of three threads (the third one was kind of petering out) to have something to shoo posters to when they stumbled upon yours. It would have made it, too if it weren’t for those meddling…er…TPTB.

You made it! I’m glad you’re here. 🙂

You out of all of us have the most reason to be miffed about the old thread being lost, I think, considering all the work you put into keeping it alive. 😛 Oh well, such is life.

How have you been of late?

I guess I kind of am miffed but in a good natured way, if that’s possible. It became a mission and the oddest kind of thread; no topic, but it had a purpose. 😌 The new format requires a new approach but I think I need to step aside and let the next generation of CAF embrace the challenge.

I’ve found myself less allured by the new forum, for some reason. As a techie, I do appreciate the objectively superior forum design, but the old forum had a certain… “air” to it, if you know what I mean. Something about it felt much more like home.

I strongly agree. I would glady go back to the old format in a heartbeat.

If nothing else, the old “ranking” system was more clearly defined. I miss working my way up to the next level – going from regular, to senior, to veteran, to get-a-life…

Honestly, I just found the old system easier to navigate. Probably because I’m getting older.

@christofirst, I’ll see your “Do the Bump”, and respond with “Ain’t Gonna Bump No More”

This talk of bumps reminds me that I dented the bumper on my van last Tuesday. Backed into a post. The post was undamaged, being of the sturdy brick type.
