I still have all those little saints poems written down 😁. Someday I will polish them up and repost them.

I was hoping that you still had them. They were inspirational, helpful, and well written.

Been watching the path of Florence… she’s hard to predict… keep your eyes 👀 open…

Prayers for all in the path of Florence. She doesn’t give up easily. 11 dead at this point…! Jesus hold them all in the shelter of your wings… Today is Sept 15th!!!

Thank you for encouraging prayers for those who are impacted by Florence. I lived, and am still living, the flooding from Harvey last year. This is a bad situation, and unfortunately for many the need for prayers does not end when the storm moves on. :pray:t2:

Local independent minor league team, the Washington (Pa.) Wild Things, goes for the Frontier League championship tonight against the Joliet Slammers. Winner-take-all game 5. That is, if this rain lets up. ⚾ ☔

Anybody tracking their steps? If so, what is your daily average??? How many would that be in 5 years if this thread makes it that long???

I do. I set my daily goal for 5,000 steps, but I exceed that a few times every week, often closer to or even exceeding the standard recommended daily goal of 10,000 steps. I use an inexpensive pedometer, not a phone app or a Fitbit, and it resets after 99,999 total steps. Right now, it’s at 85,000 total steps.

I used to walk even more when I was a foreman on very large multi-floor construction jobs. I wished I’d had a pedometer in those days. I’m certain the numbers would have been impressive.

That answer involves math, and I don’t do math 😠

I do math. 5,000 steps per day equals 35,000 steps per week and 1,825,000 steps in a non-leap year. Over 5 years, assuming one leap-year in the time period, equals 9,130,000 steps.

I try to get 10,000 steps but it’s just around the house and yard. I’m old and figure if I’m counting that many steps at least I’m up and moving… gotta be better than molting… Power to the "MOVE"ment…

Good to keep moving. We have a guy at work that is in his late 50’s and he gets in 20,000+ steps every day. He is in great shape.

I track my steps everyday, though not with any particular goal in mind. And unlike @christofirst, I rarely ever get to 10k steps. 😄

20,000 steps! I’m tired just thinking about it. When I go hiking with the family, we’ll often go about 6 miles, and by the end of one of those days I have about 16,000 steps. And I’m worn out 😠. And it takes about 3 days for the various pains to subside and to feel like myself again 😠.

Sounds good to me. Could use something a little heartier though. Maybe some eggs benedict?
