Even though only two of the bishops-designates come from the clergy of their dioceses, it might be the first time it’s happened since Bishop Hubbard was ordained in the 1970s.

Getting back to the case in point …

As a parishioner in the Diocese of Nashville, I would like to say that Fr. David Choby is an excellent choice to be our new Bishop. He’s done a great job as Diocesan Administrator during a fairly difficult period, and I have every confidence that he will do an outstanding job in the future!
