To
exoflare: yes, there were other prophets that were saved in the last minute by God. For instance, the enemies of Abraham (PBUH) tried to execute him by
burning him at the stake.
The theme of prophets being persecuted by their peoples for bringing them the message of Truth is a major one throughout the Qur’an.
To
footy: sure, at least one prophet killed by the Israelites was John the Baptist (PBUH).
To my knowledge, we don’t know of any others, but this might be an area of research you might find fruitful, since the Qur’an’s claims are echoed by Jesus (PBUH) in the New Testament: “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that stones its prophets”.
To
cute2904: sure, Muhammad (PBUH) had many miracles besides the revelation of the Qur’an. For instance, he is credited with acts of healing the sick and bringing rain upon parched lands.
I want to apologize to footy and cute2904 that I won’t be able to follow up on any further inquiries they have in this thread, as that would steer exoflare’s thread even further off topic. I invite you both to open your own threads should the disscussion here not suffice.
