According to your own points here elvis, this means if you are working, or sleep schedule dictates having to miss a mass, then you are in error, for that is not an excuse according to your view. According to your own point, missing a single mass between it, Good Friday for example, you are in error. According to your point, we might as well just live in the church worshiping day and night neglecting our own lives, or own families, our own work, just to be perfectly in line with it all, because we dare not miss one out of ignorance.
If I were to use your logic, almost all Catholics are in mortal sin all of the time, they all are separated by God and all are condemned to hell for eternity. You too are as well, for you see your neighbor stumble each time you go to mass and if they are not there, you do nothing to help correct that. I will be trying to get my local parish to get it’s doors open during times for those of us with ruthless scheduling, until then, I’m going to be missing the “obligatory” mass from time to time, it’s just a given.
Along the false witness, regardless of the number one picks, the message is clear, I have no desire to get into semantics, if you want to wiki it up:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_Commandments it’s the message that should be known, not the number of it’s order that matters. And you yourself should brush up on this one, you just did it to me stating that I rejected his church, of which I have not.
Anyway, not here to debate this issue, it is yet again so off topic, and yet again so counterproductive. The message intended is about how we should focus along unity, not tearing each other, and each church down, and let these other topics go into their own “seperate” threads all together. With the advent and evolution of the new mass, things have changed within the Catholic church, it has become more inviting to newcomers because of ceremonial changes, the message being taught is still clear, yet things in certain areas have relaxed. I suspect this movement is to draw in more members, or bring back Catholics that chose to frequent other churches, I don’t know, at least it’s showing a progressive movement which is keeping in line with the times, how often has it done so in the past? Right now it’s in the stage of growing pains, it’s also facing opposition in the face of modern man who has rejected it, I certainly have a great appreciation for tradition, and part of me still struggles with how it has changed over the years, yet I still keep my roots embedded within fertile ground, I refuse to let the vine whither into fruitless endeavors, and this is reflecting within the unquenchable thirst I have for the Lord.
