Anti-Catholic visions?

This is what the website says “Jesus” said to the girl, when she asked why Pope John Paul II was in hell. Emphasis is mine.
And Jesus responded, “Yes, Daughter, he may have said many things, but he would never speak the truth as it is. He never said the truth and they know the truth and although he knew the truth, he preferred money over preaching about salvation. He would not offer reality; would not say that hell is real and that heaven also exists; Daughter, now he is here in this place.”
So… this raises the question: what was the total papal salary he had received? And the answer is a whopping $140 dollars or so. Yes…he loved money so much he got less than what I can make in a week in a 30 year reign.

With respect, this “vision” is simply a lie (whether or not a deliberate lie I do not know).

Sounds to me like these people had plain old dreams that were more vivid than normal, and mistakenly concluded that they were visions. I’ve actually had similar dreams in the opposite direction, seeing several prominent protestants in hell. Dreams actually do have some decipherable basis in reality in that the contents of your dreams can reflect your attitude and the ideas, things, and people that have been heavy in your life recently. If these people’s pastors just spent a fiery sermon on how JP2 was in hell, it is no surprise that this influenced their dreams and they then “saw” him there.

It was the same for me. I spent a good length of time soaking up all the information on Jack Chick, his perspectives, views, how silly and baseless his claims were, and much on people’s opinions regarding his intent and the state of his soul. Lo and behold, a few days later, I had a dream where I saw him in hell. It was even a cartoony Jimmy Akin version of him.

Frankly, its utter rubbish. There’s too many variables. And it reeks of anti-Catholic sentiment. What if that girl had seen John Paul II in Heaven hanging out with Christ, who told her that the RCC was the true Church, or that Our Lady told her to thank the Catholics for their rosaries and devotions?

You can bet fifty cents and a doughnut that it wouldn’t be read out from Protestant pulpits each week.

I’m more inclined to beleive that she was hallunicating or dreaming, its too mean spirited to think she’s blatantly lying.

Hi everyone, I want to talk to you about something…

Online, I saw the “testimony” of “Angelica Zambrano” a Protestant girl who claimed to have a “Near Death Experience” in which she saw people (relatives and celebrities) and one of them was Pope John Paul II

There was another testimony by a girl named ''Janet Balderas Canela" another Protestant girl who saw a vision of Mary commanding Catholics not to “worship” her, saying she can’t save them and stuff like that.

I don’t what to make of this honestly, what is your opinion on this?
In the case of Angelica Zambrano, I think she and her mother cooked it up between them, to make a name for the daughter. It’s a load of rubbish.

The second one is probably similar.

Here’s my little story. I had a wise old Protestant pastor who towards the end of his life admitted to me in his office that he “sometimes wondered if Protestants get to heaven”. His argument was that he didn’t think God was as easy going as we are about the continued division of the church.

He also commented on Marian apparitions - “There’s been a lot of them. I think they’re a judgement on a divided church”. Other comments - “Protestants tell a lot of lies about Catholics and the Catholic Church”. 'Protestants can be quite arrogant about Catholics". And towards the end of his life, when he realised the Protestant positon on the pope was faulty, he blurted out, “It’s a heresy! That’s what worries me!”

Some time after he died, he briefly appeared to me in a vision, and simply said, “We’re not in heaven. We’re all in purgatory. Oh, we’re not suffering any pain, so you don’t have to worry about that. In fact, it’s pretty good around here” (and as he said that he seemed to be very impressed with his surroundings). He then repeated, “But we’re not in heaven.”

As far as I’m concerned, my vision is just as good as theirs. Toss a coin and we’ll split the difference. But I mean, does God care about the divided nature of His church, and all the lies being told by a significant portion about the other Christians? Does He just overlook it, or demand an accounting? Eg. “Who told you that?” “Did you ever investigate these claims?” “Why would i want Christians all over Europe to slaughter other Christians by the million, in My name?” “Whe gave Luther, or Calvin, or King Henry VIII the authority to set up their own Churches, when my Son clearly stated He set it up on Peter? Where did they get the authority?”

And “Why do you blaspheme the Mother of My Son?”

Here is the excerpt about Mary from the Janet Balderas Canela ‘testimony’:
-MARY-
We began to ride again and arrive at a door that was half-opened, and the Lord said, “Servant come here, come here because behind this door is Mary. Get close and hear what she is saying, so you can go and tell My people, so you can tell the people how Mary is suffering.” I got closer and saw a young lady, such a beautiful young lady, so beautiful, her face was so pretty. She was looking through a very tiny window. She was kneeling down and looking to the face of the earth, crying with tremendous pain.
She said, “Why are you worshiping me? Why, if I do not have any power! Why are you worshiping me? I do not do anything! Do not worship me! Do not bow before me! For I cannot save you! The only one that can save, the only one that can redeem you is Jesus, who died for all mankind! Many people say that I have power, that I can perform miracles, but that is a lie! I do not do anything! Almighty God was satisfied with me and He used my womb so that Jesus could be born and save everyone, but I don’t have any power. I cannot do anything! Do not bow before me! Do not worship me! For I am not worthy of worship. The only one that is worthy, the only one that you bow before and adore is Jesus! He is the only one that heals and saves!”
I could see how that young lady was in such tremendous pain, full of anguish and crying. She said, “No! No! Do not worship me! Why do you bow before me? I don’t do anything!” You see dear brothers, it was a tremendous thing to look at this young lady, how she was crying with such pain and sadness.
Now. There are two ways of looking at this. Many saints of the Church have recorded private revelations of the Blessed Virgin, and these reveal that she has a special place in the Holy City. To many a saint, she is revealed to have a higher authority over all the saints and angels. She is revealed to be able to interceed for us to her Son, and she has done many things to lead faithful Catholics and non-Catholics alike to her Son. Thing such as Fatima, Lourdes, Guadalupe, etc. have led many faithful back to Holy Mother Church. So obviously, someone is not telling the truth. I would believe the miracles of Fatima, Lourds, Guadalupe, etc. over this supposed “revelation”. That’s just me, but I’m sure a lot of Catholics would feel the same way.

What I see wrong with the testimony is that Mary, despite being in heaven, is essentially in a prison cell and miserable, despite being in the direct presence of God where she should be joyous and free. This right there is proof enough that either the testimony is an outright fabrication or that it was just a plain old dream.

Apart from Lourdes, Fatima, Akita and assorted miracles etc.

Was Pope John Paul II in heaven? 😉 You never said where she saw him.

And she was right about Mary. We are supposed to venerate her, not worship her. 😉 And Jesus saves, albeit through Mary.

So I have no problem with these. Catholics who worship Mary and think Mary is the one who saves should rethink and stop doing what they are doing. Of course, people who pray the rosary aren’t worshipping Mary.
AMEN!!!

There is medication that can control her “visions”.

Hi
I don’t what to make of this honestly, what is your opinion on this?
my opinion on these and all alleged near death experiences is that they are psychological phenomena in the brains of those undergoing severe trauma and stress and in no way represent any supernatural events. The proof of this is the subjective nature of what the “visionaries” see and report.

I have found certain protestant groups are given to out right lieing in order to support their agenda. I guess when you (believe) you are saved by faith alone, the ends suddenly justify the means. Talk about knocking out two non-biblical principals with one stone.

Remember the ole’ “screams from Hell” tale?
Scientists drilling in Siberia went too far and ended up punching a hole through to Hell, where the screams of the damned drifted up to them. Turned out it was a Weekly World News article. But, ah…what did PT Barnum say once?
About thirteen years ago I heard a preacher cite this story. After the service I told him “you know that story is lie…right?” He said, “Oh yeah, I know. But if it gets people to accept Jesus, who cares if it’s a lie”.

There was a false visionary at Lourdes back in the time that Bernadette was having visions of Our Lady.

This little girl said Mary and said that Mary said didn’t like lilies or roses, and she was wearing filthy clothes. It was a demon.

In fact, demons like to present themselves as Mary lots of time. The difference being, they can’t stand holy water (lol), they are never as beautiful as the real thing(although none of us would know), and they feel evil in their presence, not comforting, as Mary does.

Other false visionaries of Lourdes were seen being chased by demons. Some even became possessed by them, sadly. That’s one very sad thing that happened around some apparition sites. Because Mary was there, the evil things clung there like a magnet to create havoc. Those who were far less than holy in persistent mortal sin who claimed to “see Mary” for their own public attention became infested and possessed.

It was an attempt to discredit the actual visionary and Mary herself.

I read the part in the “Janet Balderas Canela” testimony about Mary, and it was pretty ridiculous. Not believable at all. It is pretty much what was written in Jack Chick’s “Why is Mary Crying” pamphlet. It’s exactly what I would expect to come from the mouth of a raving fundamentalist. Even if Mary really didn’t want people to ask for her intercession, one thing that is forgotten is that there is no pain or suffering or tears in heaven. Mary would not be crying and weeping and in pain if she were in heaven. That doesn’t make any sense.

Exactly! And you find this a lot. People howling like animals during the apparitions at Medjugorje is no way uncommon, crazy.

never heard of protestants having visions…sounds more like Satan in disguise, especially the part about Blessed John Paul the 2nd being in Hell. Sounds like something satan, the prince of LIES, would say. And if the visionary is anti Catholic to begin with, of course she is going to say things against someone like JP2.

Compare that to the book Heaven is For Real…and how the little boy did see Mary, kneeling at the throne of Jesus or God the Father. The difference being one was a near death experience and not a “vision”.

That’s exactly what the problem with these visions is. There are too many inconsistencies, so obviously someone is lying.

Prophecies and visions do not supersede the mercy, justice, and love of the Lord.
