I think they are also referred to as “The Frozen Chosen”They are the Heidelberg catechism ones. The 144,000 are saved ones.

elisakreisinger.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/eyeroll.gifI know Catholics tend to elevate Calvinists that convert to the Catholic Faith such as Scott Hahn and others like him.
I have to disagree agreeably with you sister. I believe Reformed theology challenges Catholic theology more than any other Protestant version. It consists of the 5 solas of the Protestant Reformation and teaches the article in which the church stands of falls (according to Luther) which strong emhasis. When someone presents Scott Hahn, he seems to be presented that he was once was a Calvinist. There is even a Catholic site dedicated of promoting ex-Calvinists who are now Catholic. Arminian Protestantism is similar to the Catholic Faith in synergism; the Reformed view teaches mongerism.elisakreisinger.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/eyeroll.gif
No, CU, Catholics do not elevate Calvinists that convert.
Scott Hahn is well-renowned, well-respected and admired for his scholarship. Not because of his former religion.
His conversion story would have been moving if he had been an atheist, or a Muslim, or a nominal Catholic. It is the conversion TO that is impressive, not necessarily the conversion FROM.
Not at all. Have you seen the theology of Sabbatarians? Or of Jehovah’s Witnesses? Or of Oneness Pentecostals? Iglesia ni Cristo? Baptism by immersion folks? Baptism is an ordinance folks? Baptism must be done in adulthood folks?I have to disagree agreeably with you sister. I believe Reformed theology challenges Catholic theology more than any other Protestant version.
Er…that’s because he was a Calvinist. If he were an atheist he would be presented as “he was once an atheist.”When someone presents Scott Hahn, he seems to be presented that he was once was a Calvinist.

There are a multitude of websites devoted to converts from all walks of life to Catholicism, CU.
I had a Baptist friend named Billy Graham (no joke, same name but not THE Billy Graham) who would occasionally engage me in a bit of Bible to and fro; I always lost because when I was a young Catholic in the forties and fifties we never read the Bible. Then the Bible was a storage place for marriage, birth and baptismal certificates. It’s not that their arguments are strong it is that an unprepared Catholic is weak, just like anyone who is unprepared.
Did you go to Mass? Were you not exposed to the Scriptures during the Mass, Bob?I had a Baptist friend named Billy Graham (no joke, same name but not THE Billy Graham) who would occasionally engage me in a bit of Bible to and fro; I always lost because when I was a young Catholic in the forties and fifties we never read the Bible. And your proof for this issssss…I was raised in the west of Scotland where religious sectarianism is strong.
Over the years I have learned that a lot of what Catholicism teaches is wrong and indefensible and we just have to accept Catholicism got it wrong![]()
Please state exactly what Catholicism teaches that is wrong and indefensible. Maybe even just one good example would work for now.I was raised in the west of Scotland where religious sectarianism is strong.

Aprilfloyd is a troll. Don’t feed him/her. He/she claims to know that Catholicism is cleeearly backwards and wrongheaded, but fails to ever substantiate the argument. Please state exactly what Catholicism teaches that is wrong and indefensible. Maybe even just one good example would work for now.
Thanks.
I’ve never run into Aprilfloyd before. What you say makes sense.Aprilfloyd is a troll. Don’t feed him/her. He/she claims to know that Catholicism is cleeearly backwards and wrongheaded, but fails to ever substantiate the argument.
if that is truly the case, let’s party on, cause nobody else has it right as well.I was raised in the west of Scotland where religious sectarianism is strong.

I haven’t either. Perhaps he’ll elaborate for us.I’ve never run into Aprilfloyd before.
Indeed. The Church in the past has done an abysmal job in providing nourishing catechesis for her flock. That some Catholics are ill-informed is the fault of all of the Chruch, schools and parents.
There are some key issues that are disputed between Catholics and Protestants, but there is no doubt that there are Catholics and Protestants alike that believe Christ is their Saviour. I find these threads the most intriguing because there are a lot of misconceptions between the two groups. The “separated brethren” comment gave me quite a chuckle I must say.You can practice on me because I am an ecumenical Calvinist. I embrace Catholics as my dear siblings in Christ just like you embrace me as a separated brethren in Christ.
:hey_bud: .
I am also a co-administrator on a Christian Fellowship of Facebook page consisting of two Catholic admins and two Protestant admins who moderate the ecumenical site. If you are a Facebook user, send me a request if you have an interest.
Especially effective against Fundamentalists.“Any Catholic ever been out debated by a Protestant?”
Nope
Always box them into the corner until they knowingly contradict themselves…
It’s too fun sometimes.![]()
