Me either. I always gave really bad sacrifices for Lent, but, this year, I want to actually do something for it. 🙂

I’m not sure yet; I usually set up an array of options so that I have a fall-back if one’s too hard or too easy or I can’t do it one day, heh. Usually it has to do with fasting, music, sweets, and talking to friends online too often.

The rosary is incredibly powerful. What a noble endeavor for lent! May almighty God bless your resolutions 🙂

@Christian-ity doesn’t it start tomorrow since it is a leap year?

GUYS I just had an idea and I want to share it! I struggle with choosing what to do, so I have a new plan this year.

I’m going to make a list of 6 options, following the format of “give this up/add this thing”. Then, each day I’ll roll a regular die and follow whatever number it says.

For example, 1: No sweets, and say a Divine Mercy Chaplet. 2: No music, and say the Litany of Humility. etc etc

That way it’ll keep me on my toes about what I’m giving up and doing, but it’ll also keep me from getting bored or stuck in a rut and forgetting the sacrifice!

What do you think? I’m worried I’ll forget what my sacrifice/addition of the day will be, but I still want to try it out.

Hey 🙂
I’m 19 and also discerning the call to Religious life.

I haven’t really talked to anybody about it yet though. So it’s nice to be able to talk to some other young discerning people.

Welcome! It is really helpful to talk about it, especially with people our age.

Welcome! I recognize your username - I was introduced to Hildegard back in high school! Good choice 🙂

I’ve actually known about her since I was little because I live quite close to where she used to live so you hear about her quite frequently.

I feel quite drawn to the Benedictines because of their focus on the liturgy.

The Benedictines are really beautiful. I would hate being cloistered though.

I just think it’s really beautiful to sing and pray the liturgy of the hours together in community.
