Hi everyone,
I really like that “unplanned but wanted” and “unplanned by the parents but planned by God.” Beautiful!
My mom was only 16 when she gave birth to me, in 1969, and 17 when she gave birth to my brother (we are only 10 1/2 months apart…yes, it is possible). I had a less than perfect childhood, but I never wished that I hadn’t been born.
In fact, a few years ago I asked my mother if she had ever thought of aborting me and she said that the doctor had recommended she have an abortion (or whatever they called it at that time)…she was very firm in her NO WAY. I then thanked her for giving me life and told her how much I loved her.
I am a convert to Catholicism and of course, pro-life…I am so happy that my mother decided to give me my life here on earth so that I can fulfil God’s Will. I now also have four beautiful blessings --three with me here on earth and one in Heaven.
Someone told me that St. Pio told a woman who had an abortion that she aborted one of our popes.
God bless,
Debbie
