Right. So, then: why are you denying science the opportunity to speak on those matters in which it has competence? If science can discern truths about physical reality, then why refuse to allow them to do so? (I’m not talking about scientists who then attempt to take their empirical knowledge and make philosophical / theological statements from it, but only those who are speaking about empirical evidence and the conclusion which proceed from it.)A fine observation, to be sure, but the physical dimension is a product of the ultimate reality of God’s spirit, a dimension in which science is clueless. In other words, science can only scratch the surface of reality.
Take a deep breath and think for a moment. If evolution began elsewhere, then you’d be positing two sets of laws – one for the ‘evolution’ you’re ok with, and another that accounts for the “microbes up to that point”. There’s no evidence for such a bifurcated set of systems. So, you can posit that, if you wish, but to do so in the absence of evidence makes it simply an opinion, and an unfounded one at that. So, be careful in which direction you point out “brainwashing”, since three fingers are pointing right back at you, as the saying goes…Sorry, but you are wrong. None of these areas of science depend in any way on the “information” that life on earth evolved from microbes.
I call shenanigans.I’ve been on the lookout for a practical use for Darwin’s tree-of-life “discovery” for years and have never found one.
