Anyone notice the irony here: Catholics criticising Muslims and Islam on this forum

I used to frequent a form called whyislam. I found the Muslims there were kind and nice. The reason I left there is because of the protestent hate of Catholics there.

I do not like to participate in the Islam threads here because of the lack of charity toward them. Just because you wear the Catholic jersey doesn’t make you a good person. The same for Muslims, Jews and Protestents. Hitting people over the head with a stick will just make them leave with a notion toward Catholics. And that is the last thing you want.

Read the koran, hadiths, the history of islam and its prophet - past and current, and then when a muslim speaks/writes - you will know.

To just blindly accept them and apologize for them while so many are being slaughtered worldwide - past and present - and while their own clerics STATE their imperialistic intentions is not ‘turning the other cheek’, or ‘being civil’ or whatever you want to call it - it is being stupid.

Whatever you call “appeasing them”… and what you have just said, how is it in itself alone a proof that Paarsurrey was necessarily lying? How do YOU know he was not sincerely thinking what he said to be the truth? It might still be false but doesn’t then mean that he was LYING? To be lying would meant one knows that what he is saying is false and says it anyway…

You certainly are bothered, it’s been so obvious… Does it NECESSARILY follow that ALL MUSLIM COMMUNITIES advocate such conducts? It’s far from evident to me…
My concern is not to be “appeasing”, contrary to what you seem to believe. Just that you don’t include innocent people in that basket of the guilty ones… and there certainly are!

**Why should any one go to Saudia / Iran and bash their religion there?? There is no need to do that. It could be crime too. Similarly, it is crime to bash Jesus in England.

That is not the problem. The Muslims in their countries may be more conscious about their beliefs and the European people may not care much about things. That is not a criteria.

One should live peacefull in every country. Peace is necessary. Then no harm.**

I agree with what you are saying, but i guess my point is though, you cant come to a Catholic site either and attack Jesus Christ, which if what they usually do in the end, and not expect some people to get defensive. I mean think about it. And i have never heard a muslim in the end really want to learn about our religion, it seems that way at first, but then it seems like they come on real ugly at the end. Again just what i have seen, but you are right also we must shake the dust as our Good Lord says, and walk away better, i am learning, and maybe we will all get better at it. But in the defense of Catholics sometimes they do push our buttons. I guess we all need to pray more. But its hard to be nice to people when they attack our Lord, I guess it just the mother lion in all of us.

Catholics and the Church are bombarded with insults by the wider society, and yet many of us are more interested in criticising Islam and its followers. Many of you are saying how illogical and unbelievable Islam is, yet have nothing to say in answer to the same charges being pressed against you by atheists.

The thing is, many of you seem to be claiming to be devout Catholics. Yeah right. I hope you guys don’t expect those oh so sarcastic atheists that post here to start believing in Catholicism after reading the trash that gets posted here.

Why don’t we unite against secularism? Or is that a stupid idea? We all worship the one God after all. The CCC says so. Or is the CC wrong about that?

**That Satanic Verses and the cartoons were an attack by the enemies on peaceful Islam. It was not a good thing to malign the only peaceful religion. That was done due to the ignorance of some people. It should not be supported by any faith.

Similarly, the muslims should not support if any derogatory cartoon is made about Jesus. That is a simple lesson that all should understand. Already many people are becoming atheists. That is bad enough.**

**Rinnie, there is no attack on Jesus or church unless provoked. We Muslims do not say that Jesus was rapist or pedophile. We do not say, like the christians do for Muhammad, that Jesus was a false prophet. That he was viisted and taught by the devil. That would be attacking and unfair posting.
