I thought I was just stating a fact, not trying to be hurtful. Bears are rather blunt and direct.
I have no problem with you looking for whatever type of person you want to correspond with. There is nothing inherently wrong in your request. Many if not most US people will find it odd, but some will likely take you up on it, as I said.
BTW, Iām a Ms. Bear. Actually, to be absolutely correct, Iām The Widow Bear.
Sorry if we had a misunderstanding, I was just trying to communicate to the other poster that your request wasnāt that odd IMHO.

We should probably start another thread on thisā¦but I just wanted to mention that a dress code canāt really qualify as a ābeliefā within a Catholic context. We believe in modesty. That is a doctrinal principle that all Catholics uphold. How that is lived in real life is going to varyā¦ for example, if a woman dressed as you described in your OP (shoulders and knees covered), she would be likely decried as a whore for showing her calves and / or hair in the land and time of Our Lord and Ladyā¦or in parts of the Middle East todayā¦

It is a thread for people who agree with certain Pre Vatican II elements (such as the modest fashion guidelines of Pre Vatican II,) to PM me to join a traditional catholic private group chat here in the catholic forums mailbox option,
I have already had a number of traditional catholics PM me to join a private mailbox chat group here, for similar minded catholics,
And that the debate of Pre and Post Vatican II is for another thread entirely.

I am talking of my own grandparents generation in my country who yes had a strict following of Pre Vatican II fashion.
Padre Pio is another supporter of this modest fashion style. Many saints and Popes also were strong supporters of a strong moral fashion style that I describe in the original OP.
This is not a thread to discuss Pre Vatican and Post Vatican II , this is a thread for those who are of the same mindset as the catholics I have described.
I have already had a number of people message me about joining my catholic forums private chat group. This thread is for those people to PM me to join this group of this specific type of catholic mindset.
Debating the topics I hace described is for another thread entirely.

You see, I regularly write postcards on postcrossing DOT com and send real pen and paper letters to my penpals I made by searching through the forum.
For privacy, I rent out a postbox. But even so, it is a safe hobby because my pen pals are in far away countries and are generally good charactered people.
Postcrossing, although it has a forum, is not a penpal site. Itās a site where you send a postcard with a special ID number written to a random member and receive a card from a different random member back.
My penpals are in the age range of from 17 to 22. Itās cool when we get to exchange flat stuff like stamps, or even sudoku puzzles.
So, I donāt know if I am āyour typeā but hey, I am willing to give it a try.

A good question .
The answer is that all Catholics are conservative .
We conserve that which is true and good which has been handed down to us from God via the Church .
In the same way we are all progressive in the sense that we want to continually reform the Church , cleansing it of all that is an impediment to the preservation and transmission of the good and the true ā¦
