Well, in all fairness, no one has to go. Perhaps you might consider the people attending irresponsible. Because the bottom line is it is their health at risk.
But it’s not just their health. It’s the health of their families, their grocers, their postmen – anybody they may come in contact with after the rally.

But not only theirs. Also the health of those they come in contact with afterward.

All this concern for health because of one rally after weeks and weeks of protest marches across the whole nation

So are all of you staying home still? Because in my state I am free to go to WalMart, or Lowe’s and I could take whatever I catch wearing a mask home to my family that way too. 🤔

I am assuming that they will need to wear masks, and maybe even leave space between each other. Let’s face it, people are passing each other with grocery carts, and I don’t, but I have had people come up right behind me on line.

Edit : From the link that @Mike_from_NJ provided

“ Attendees will not be required to wear a mask, however. “

Okay, that’s wrong.

Actually, yes. I haven’t been in a building other than my home since mid-March. 😔

Wow, I live in a fairly less populated area. People are going out. With masks for the most part.

How many of them were packed inside a building, where spread is so much easier?
But thank you for assuming there was no concern for the health of the protestors (read minds much?) and saying we therefore shouldn’t be concerned about the health of the Tulsa attendees.

It’s pretty hard to argue against a rally when we just had crowds of 5,000 to 20,000 people running around in the streets protesting, yelling, bumping up against each other for days on end.

I know people will say “they were outside” but with crowds that big for that many days, it’s unlikely the breeze blew all the COVID away.

There are also so many places now open for people to potentially catch COVID that it couldn’t all be traced back to one event, especially since people coming to this will be stopping at restaurants and gas stations and everywhere else in their travels. If someone gets sick they won’t know if they got it at the rally or at the truck stop restaurant.

We can go out to stores, but masks and social distancing are strictly enforced. A crowded rally is the exact opposite of social distancing. And I’ll bet that more than half of the people there won’t be wearing a mask.

Maybe where you are. The enforcement and cautious behavior here have been pretty much out the window since Memorial Day here in the Philly burbs. We aren’t even at green yet.

The only place strictly enforcing everything seems to be at Mass at the Catholic Church.

Ah, such an inconvenient question.

Answer: They Didn’t.

This is still early and things could certainly change, but those early tests seem to suggest the protests haven’t spurred new hot spots.

Still, these early numbers are welcome news to Roger Shapiro, a professor of immunology and infectious diseases at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health. “When I hear a 1 percent positivity rate, that’s encouraging to me that these protests are not representing new hot spots,” he says. That’s because 1 percent is around the background level of community transmission that might be expected if one were to test a large sample of randomly selected people.

And of course - passing the virus to another and or catching COVID-19 was not the only cause of injury or death from the last 20 plus days … literally and purposefully there have been thousands who were injured in the protests/riots/looting - everything from minor injuries not requiring medical treatment, to emergency room visits, hospitalizations and one person paralyzed from the neck down and a respirator for the rest of their life. Plus over 20 dead … but hey - lets worry about a rally that people choose to attend freely, where there are precautions and steps being taken to cut down on the spread of Covid-19

All I know is I counted off my 14 days after the protest I attended (Crowd of 5000, about 2/3 in masks) and I didn’t get sick and so far not seeing a county spike. Thank you Jesus!

So let’s hope for similar good results for the Trump rally. Like I said I will be praying for everyone’s safety.

Can anyone name any of the 10 Commandments Trump hasn’t broken?

Who am I to judge? We’re all sinners and Congress is full of those too. So, Pray for your Elected leaders.
