I am glad that the Archbishop cancelled the appearances of these controversial people. However, I am not sure about his reasoning for doing so. According to the article, his reasoning for cancelling the controversial speakers appearances is that they did not reflect the themes of Advent:
Also, apparently these controversial speakers were publicly avowed homosexuals and I am guessing that is the reason for the controversy.“The Archbishop felt that Vespers (a prayer of the church) should reflect the themes of Advent,” said Wesolek.
